this blackout curtains are very effective at blocking sunlight. Definitely a must have for the Seattle summer. I like how big it is so I cut it into a few pieces to cover both a big window with dividers and a few small side windows. It's also easy to set up with those sticky pads and does not damage (leave permanent marks) to the windows.

This works great at keeping the light out and most of the heat. I like how you can cut to fit any window. Note: the material stretches slightly so you might cut about 1/4" larger than needed.I would have given it a 5 star, but the sticky part of the velcro did not hold up to the heat. We live in Idaho where the hottest day got up to 90° and it didn't stay attached to the window. The velcro itself is super strong, but not the sticky part.Solution: I bought industrial strength, all weather velcro that did the trick.

I don’t like light in the morning. I like darkness for my sleep. This blackout curtain serves its goal. It completely blocks the light. It is also very easy to put on. The self adhesive hooks make on and off so easy. No issues.

I was skeptical purchasing this after reading the negative reviews. I ended up jumping in head first anyways and took the risk. Without risk there is no reward. I am more satisfied with this product than any other type of blackout curtain or window covering. Many reviews state that the double sided sticky discs don't work; however mine have been up for a week and I haven't had an issue. The window I used the product on is a southern facing window that gets sunlight just about all day. My room feels like it's the middle of the night 24/7. Be sure to sleep the window with alcohol (what I used) and you shouldn't have an issue with the adhesives. Also, but the product about an inch bigger; a 12x12 window would be cut to 13x13. Then use an xacto knife for precision cutting to cut off the excess. Following these simple steps you will be able to sleep during the day. I work graveyard and was only getting about 5 hours of restless sleep due to the sun, I can now sleep a solid 8 easily. I'm not sure if it's in the product description or not but I noticed it was noticeably cooler as well. I'd assume that was the intention of the production design because the side that faces out is a shiny gray. I'd highly recommend this product for anyone that works nights and has trouble sleeping. I have found nothing better and will no longer be looking. The material is also lightweight but not paper thin it's a material I can only describe as what a tent is made of, some kind of like vinyl or something. 0 light will come through if installed correctlyEDIT: I have no issues after a month. My room remains the coolest darkest room in the house. We just had a heatwave and I didn't even notice in my room. Also came in handy while I slept a weird schedule due to covid. I still highly recommend.EDIT 2: Its been several months and I've had zero issues still. It's held strong, not deteriorated, and in the same place I originally placed it with no need to fix it. Still highly recommend and am afraid if I take it off I will regret it and have to buy new adhesives that probably aren't going to be as good haha. 10/10 product. I will not be updating this again as any further and you've already gotten the money's worth back in sleep (if you work nights), energy savings (if southern facing window in hot climate), and all products deteriorate with sun exposure amd heat (not that this one has yet). I MAY leave a review when its finally deteriorated as I'm not taking down and will be test the longevity of the product.

These are very effective for blocking light and heat. The stickies area worthless. I used my own workaround. The sheets come folded and the folks are impossible to take out. They look very tacky inside and out. Embarrassed to have these hand in the window. If it weren't for invalid in that room I'd never put them up.

Love how well this blocks the sunlight from coming in. Defiantly makes the room truly blackout. Love how customizable it is and easy go cut.

If you have single pane windows or ineffective light/heat blocking window coverings this product is a great cheap fix. It's quick and easy to install. I live in an apartment with no shade and little insulation. Even with double pane windows when the sun hits them the heat radiates into the room. This product has made an incredible difference in keeping room temperature down. You cut it to size and attach with small Velcro strips on top edge of window, one on each side and one in middle. (If windows are wide you may need more.) Then matching placement on top edge of material. MEASURE CAREFULLY! I leave the Velcro strips on the window year round as they are not that apparent. I gave it only 4 stars as they changed the design of the Velcro strips and to me they aren't as effective as ones I had in the past. But they still work ok. Be very careful removing material. The strips adhere well so best to grab each strip one at a time to dislodge it

This is absolutely brilliant. It was so hot this summer I could barely take it and so I finally found these. They have been the best thing. They are only 100% block out the light but they keep the heat out to tested in I’m sure they also be well used as I can’t imagine life without them I’m gonna slowly build up my collection so every single window has them

Blocks out light really well. Is decent quality however the sticky Velcro dots don’t stay stuck to the surface and the blind continuously falls down
