This is absolutely the best handle for handling large Dutch ovens that we use camping. I know that's not it's designed purpose but I've tried all designs and this is the one. It's large enough to get torque on the pot even when full. Because its spring loaded it's truly one handed. The little notch near the hinge even allows for grabbing the lid handle. The hook on the end of the handle keeps it from slipping out of hands and allows for carrying a heave pot down low or for moving around the coals.

Fantastic so well built and easy to handle hot pot and tray inside of the oven I highly recommend them. I gave one to a friend of mine and he absolutely love he is also.

It does what it's supposed to do and is often easier to use than a full-out pizza peel, but it suffers from not having a lock to make it easier to store in a drawer. I use an elastic but that's kind of a pain.
