Q: How do you turn it off?

Press the same button you used to turn it on. Sometimes it gets fickle and you need to press it a couple of times.

Q: Mine isn't as bright as I thought it would be compared to my bigger and heavier ones and I don't have it dimmed? Any suggestions?

Is it definitely fully charged (green light has come on)? Mine is as bright or brighter than any others I've owned, including heavier battery-operated versions. If it's still not as bright when fully charged and on the brightest setting, you might need to return it for a replacement, as it could be a dud.

Q: How do you dim the light?

Hi - thank you for your question. The Recharge Light has what is called "continuous dimming" which means you press and hold the power button and the light will dim from 10 to 2 lumens. Press the button once to turn it on, then press and hold the button to start dimming the light, then release your finger when the light is at your desired brightness. Was the charge light on? Did you depress the ON button hard enough? Should be so easy. Love mine. Have gifted four people slready. Maybe you should get a replacement. Amazon is very responsive. Sure beats big boxes.
