This book is laid out so that if you need answers and a game plan fast, all the checklists are in the front; however, I recommend starting with Section 3, Chapter 15. Learning EAR while understanding your emotions, triggers, and how you express yourself in trying times will be the support for your winning strategy. I first purchased this book when I thought I needed the game plan, what I learned in communication is helping me with all facets of my life.

This book took me from feeling overwhelmed and controlled by the situation to feeling truly empowered and in control of the process! The parenting plan piece was extremely helpful in knowing what you should be thinking about and including in your own parenting plan. The self-confidence gained from this book helped get me back my strength in order to go into mediation and my new chapter of life in the best possible headspace. Communication and conflict resolution portion was and continues to be beneficial in my relationship/communication with me ex-husband. I highly recommend this book to anyone going through a divorce and especially those navigating this process with children! I assure you you will feel better about yourself and this process with the help of this detailed (yet easy to read) guide. A solid two thumbs up!

Strategies and Tips From a Divorce Coach has been a guiding light during my family's very challenging time of instability. The prospect of getting a divorce had me feeling hopeless but with the help of Jennifer Medwin's website, book, and counseling, I have been better able to focus on what I can change, including how I talk to and care for myself. Every other paragraph encourages hiring of a ‘divorce coach’. Feels like salesman who come to my door trying to sell me a vacuum or solar. Some informational advice if you can get past that. Not very helpful for those that have already paid $$$ for an attorney and a therapist to be told to spend more $ on ‘ divorce coach’!!! Probably returning….

I loved Jennifer's book Strategies and Tips From a Divorce Coach. She was a delight to have on my podcast Doing Divorce Different. I am thankful she is adding value to my clients; and divorcing couples all over the world. I always advise my clients to digest all the information they can on the ins and outs of divorce. This book gives them just that. If they cannot hire a divorce coach Strategies and Tips From a Divorce Coach is the next best thing!
