Easy, Cheap Safety Device
We have a kiddie pool outback and the toddlers have learned how to unlock and slide open the patio door. This simple, inexpensive device stops them from being able to open the door. Simply peel and stick it to the stationary door with the super-strong 3M adhesive. Push the panel flat to be able to open the door. Pinch the top and bottom buttons (see photo) at the same time to pop the stopper back out.

Easy for a child to disable
Installs easily and is very easy to operate. Unfortunately, the ease of operation is why I would not recommend these for vertical sliding windows. I don't want my children's second floor windows to open more then 4" or so. My children can reach them at that height and all you have to do to disable them is push them shut. With that said they would work well for sliding doors or horizontal sliding windows.

Great product
Easy to install, and easy to use. The levers on the sides work well to pop the lock up and the push down works well. We put ours pretty close to the windows and sliding glass door to prevent any force to be generated to smash into the locks. So far they are holding up well. If anything changes I will update.

Cat thwarted.
Bought to keep a cat from opening mirrored closet doors. Cleaned with alcohol then mounted approx 2/3 of the way up the door. So far so good. It's been about a month and she cannot get the doors open though she keeps trying. Being able to work the latch one-handed has been a plus also.

Just what I needed.
My black lab opens my sliding glass door when we're outside. I needed a way to lock it from the outside so he'd stop letting himself inside and all the air conditioned air outside! This product worked great!
