Tirso de Molina: The Trickster of Seville and the Stone Guest

Well, I gasped when I saw the misprinted title on the cover - convidado please, not convivado -and can't believe the error got past the editor, let alone the publisher. Edwards is in fact a serious scholar, and his introduction absolutely excellent. A vital publication for people who want, need, to know the origins of Mozart/Da Ponte story - and Tirso is some dramatist too. A must for the drama library.

Very pleased. Has both the Spanish original and the English translation, with background information on the author Tirso De Molina, the Spanish 'comedia', the golden age corral and the translation. As well as a very brief analysis of the play.
