Letter Tracing Book for Preschoolers: Letter Tracing Book, Practice For Kids, Ages 3-5, Alphabet Writing Practice

So, I can’t believe all these 5 star reviews on this book, and I’m throwing the hooey card. Here’s the deal with this book, which was just delivered to me this morning. On a side note, it was originally promised in two days, then after I paid I was sent a message it would take four days....so the premium price for this was no longer in play for prime in my opinion, anyways....the review:First, it is super thin. There are not three pages per letter as some said.... Over half of the page of each letter is a giant letter, so A, for example, takes up over half the page. Next to it are a capital and small letter with arrows showing how to trace them. Totally inadequate for teaching how to write letters. This might work for a kid who knows all this already and needs to do an exercise (because there’s not enough pages to use this more than once). Then, confusingly, it mixes the small letters with the capitalized letters. Also, the binding is so tight with so few pages that there’s no way for a child to hold this open and hold their hand correctly to trace unless they are already adept at writing all of this...but if they were, you wouldn’t be looking to buy this book.To learn how to do these letters, kids need the pieces broken down and to only focus on one letter at a time, then add in new letters in as they become sufficient. Maybe they changed handwriting like they changed math and I just don’t know it. Either way, I could have run this off my printer and not had the binding issue...and since the book is in black and white, no way it would cost me the $6 I paid for this book. It’s going back.

Nice quality book with 3 pages of outlines for each letter. The letter are just over an inch tall, so big enough for our 3 year old to be able to follow along as she learns to hold a pencil and build dexterity. We have encouraged it as a fun activity and she sits down on her own now and will go through a line or two of a letter then flip to another page or activity; there are plenty of each letter so she can come back to the same letter multiple times.The paper is good quality, sturdy enough that we're not just tearing through pages, and the seam of the book is light enough that she can fold it open and have a flat surface to write across both sides of the page.

My 4 year old has struggled writing her letters, and this book has helped. There is plenty of papers to practice on. She also likes to color the apple for "A". 🍎 I feel like the more she works on this book, the better she will be able to write.

Its easy, cheap and exactly as displayed online. My 3yr old is just beginning to have an interest in writing and practicing his ABC's so this has been perfect!

I’m glad I bought this book!! My four year old daughter felt more comfortable and confident in learning to write her letters by Tracing!! Tracing has helped my daughter and was the only way that made her feel confident in learning!

Perfect for young children who want to trace. My 2.5 year old is really into tracing letters right now. Blank lines are useless to him, but these dashed letters are perfect, exactly what he likes and I like the peace an quiet while he does them :)

I'm an artist and realized that if my right hand was hurt that I'd need to learn how to draw with my left hand. I used this book to help teach my left hand and it's been great so far!
