Everything written in the book does make sense, it is easy to understand and follow and really does give excellent results.

Complex into Easy and Doable for Health
This is the reference book I've been looking for. JJ Virgin has the educational and professional background to provide the Correct information that is often missing in other cookbooks and plans, and she does it in an easy to understand style. I love that in addition to recipes, this book includes suggested meal plans, a list of resources of where to actually find the ingredients, what to have on hand, and the background information on the Why. After resetting my pantry to have appropriate foods on hand, cooking healthy became my easy default. I love the Emergency Travel Food List (pg 361) so I don't get hungry when on the move as well as at my desk. Protein shakes are the perfect start to my day and are my constant. Yes, they can be green and thick which freaks out some people, and yet, I really love them and feel better and full longer than with other breakfasts. The Virgin Plate (pg 34) makes meal design easy to figure out even in a restaurant when you may have to work with your server to get just what you want. And yes, I actually saw JJ's own plate at an event buffet and she does practice what she teaches. I'm healthier and have more energy for eating the Virgin Diet way.

Great cookbook!
I first purchased the virgin diet weight loss book. After reading this book, and deciding to try out her premise, I knew that I would need the companion cookbook in order to truly be successful. It’s a great book full of great recipes, especially the lentil chicken soup recipe. If you’ve got her seven day diet book, this is a great companion book to purchase
