Great 50's Vintage Costume Dress
I'm hard to fit (5'3", 165, busty and hippy) but went with the sizing chart and the dress fit perfectly. Like the side zipper. Needs a little warm iron touch up but very happy with purchase. The dress is definitely not fine couture but the fabric, style, fit and quality is perfect for my upcoming 1950's event. Very happy with purchase.

Runs 2 sizes small
Cute dress, made well, form fitting but I definitely should have ordered 2 sizes up from what I usually wear.

The sizing is bizarre and makes no sense, and is also inaccurate.
My measurements are;Bust-49Waist-38The measurements for this dress are;3X-Bust-44.4-46Waist-37.4-38.94X-Bust-46.4-48Waist-39.4-40.9The 3X fits like a glove, with a little extra room in the waist even. A person ordering this based on the provided measurements would find that the dress would be far too large to fit properly. Let's say you have a 44" bust and a 37" waist, so you order the 3X...the bust is going to be 4-5" too large and the waist is going to be 2-3" too large. According to the measurements, I really should've ordered the 4X, but it's HUGE on me. It looks like I'm a child playing in my mother's clothing. On top of that, the reviews say "Fits true to size, order usual size"...but hello? What? I wear an XL in most clothing, MAYBE a 2X in something I want to be really loose...I've legitimately never in my life purchased anything in a 3X, so the sizing is absolutely not true to size. You need to order 1-2 sizes larger than you normally would buy, but at least a size smaller than the size chart tells you to buy. That's confusing as heck, if you ask me.Now, all that said, the dress is adorable. The skirt is heavy weight and the manufacturing seems acceptable for most purposes. I don't know that I'd toss it in the dryer once a week, but it doesn't seem to be the type of material that would shrink easily...still, I'll likely hang it to dry. It did arrive wrinkled because it's folded, but then shoved into a plastic bag for mailing. I'm guessing the wrinkles will come out with a good steaming.I noticed another review said the buttons on the bodice weren't sewn on well, and that matches my opinion. The end of the thread on one is loose, and they're also slightly off center, so I think I'm just going to clip the threads and resew them centered and tightly.Overall, it's hard to find a decent dress for $20-30 in ANY style, and this is a specific style, so I think if you can work out which size to buy, it's a good purchase.

This dress was so cute on.
This was the perfect dress to wear for adult prom. Runs true to size and a great value for your money. It does run a bit tight in the bust if you are larger busted woman. But I loved it.

Poorly made, doesn’t match the photos, and completely wrong in many ways
I normally don’t do this kind of thing but this is absolutely unacceptable. The dress that arrived was completely WRONG in so many ways, that it matches the display photos in aesthetic only. If I could give 0 stars, I would because this is absolutely unacceptable. I read the reviews at first and I was very optimistic because the display photos show the aesthetic that I’m trying to go for with my character, however I was sorely mistaken by actually believing it could come out good.As a drag performer, I know a good quality garment when I see one and this is anything but. The material feels like those cheap sheets you can buy at family dollar for like $2.50, where as the display photos and description make it seem like it would be a soft and elegant fabric. The overall cut is absolutely atrocious and barely resembles what one could call a dress, it’s more like an over embellished smock or muumuu. The quality of this garment is very poor and seems to have been slapped together like some last minute middle school project. It looks NOTHING like the photos displayed on Amazon. The waist line? WRONG! The arm holes and shoulder area? WRONG! The way it flares out at the bottom in the photos? Non existent and laughable! It also arrived severely wrinkled to the point where I’m not sure I’ll be able to repair it, the wrinkles in the shoulder area always shrink back into their wrinkled state no matter how hard I try to get it to stay put.Even outside third parties that I’ve shown side by side comparisons of the display photos vs what arrived agree that it’s not what’s being advertised at all.If I didn’t need this for work it would go straight into the trash. I shouldn’t have to find a way to fix a garment that I just bought because of how negligible the description of it is, as well as how awful the cuts are.I’m extremely disappointed in this purchase and will certainly never order from this seller again, and will definitely be cautioning others to stay away as well.SAVE YOUR MONEY! DON’T BUY THIS!!!!

Looks fine, but low quality fabric
Overall I think it’s cute and functional, but there are some issues. The construction is fine. The fit of the dress is flattering. The bust is a bit tight; it’s made in a way that pushes the girls up and together so keep that in mind. If you’re particularly busty you might want to size up. The dress itself is a bit stretchy so there’s some give. I will say however that the material feels very cheap and stiff. When it arrived, it was horribly wrinkled. It’s definitely not something you can wear right out of the package. Even after steaming it, when I wore it it wrinkled badly every time I sat down.I think it would be great for a costume, but not so much for every day use. In my opinion it’s overpriced.

Great retro 50s dress
I love this dress. I paired it with a red crinoline, red shoes, red cocktail hat, purse and gloves. Pink accessories would work great, too. I have an hourglass figure and wear a size10 or some times a 12. The medium fit perfectly.

Seems like authentic killreal
Seem authentic, seen the same dress in rockabilly stores for twice the price and the material seems the same. It’s definitely heavy cotton, holds its shape well after washing. A crinoline underskirt would make it super flattering

Order bigger and put frills underneath to get expected look
I ordered this one size bigger then i would regularly order and it fit right. The fabric was a little light but with the right square dancing pettycote underneath its is exactly how I imagine it was in the 50's. I got many compliments
