Read this in 2 days and it's definitely worth the time and money.
I received this book 3 days ago and already finished reading it. Definitely worth the time and money. It IS unique in that the author, Erica Suter, presents a plethora of material that is quite interesting and extremely eye-opening. I wish I had this book years ago when my kids were playing sports. I always had a lot of questions in my days as a soccer mom. The book addresses critical issues in female sports training, reasons why injuries occur & how to prevent them, why strength & conditioning should be year-round, passion for your sport, female growing pains, mental confidence, commitment, taking risks, nutrition, meditation, your purpose in life, and so much more. Erica shares experiences from her youth and from her many years of playing soccer from age 6 through college and semi-pro. Added to that are a few personal life experiences; some are extremely positive, but one in particular was an extremely adverse situation that she overcame. It seems that Erica has done the research and applies it in her strength and conditioning training, with excellent results. I highly recommend this book to parents & coaches of female athletes, and to the female athletes. The book will guide parents in making good decisions for their daughters, and the girls will have a greater understanding of their training and how to take control of their health, be it in sports or their everyday life.

CAPTIVATING AND WELL WRITTEN
I was not sure what to expect from this book but was overwhelmed with the amount of research and thought put into this. Even my 10-year-old daughter loved it because the author writes in a way that is engaging and hilarious! I heard she is releasing a second book which I will be buying as soon as it comes out.

Help your daughters/players properly train their body and minds!
I found myself nodding my head at the entire first portion of this book as Erica Suter described aspects of free play and how they benefit our kids. In a time when our kids are attached to their mobile devices, free play time is more important than ever. Also, as a U16 coach, I began to notice that more and more female players in our league were blowing out their ACL's/MCL's during high school season. This book gave me insight on how I can make sure, as their club coach, I am teaching them movements that will help them strengthen their bodies and lessen injury.Lastly, the book discusses mental toughness and strategies our girls can use to conquer self-doubt and manage stress. Overall, this book was inspirational, informational, and interesting.

A much needed and unexpected academic text
I’ve looked and for female athletes there is limited information out there surrounding research driven insights on development. This book combines what truly seems to be Erica’s heart for the industry and years of research from the top academics on the industry. An amazingly well written book. This book should leave an impact on female development and I know I’ll be telling everyone I run into about it as a resource.Outstanding work. 5 stars isn’t enough.

Must read!
Absolutely blown away by this book! If you have a daughter or coach/train young females I feel you MUST read this book. I am not too proud to admit I failed on a lot of levels when it comes to youth sports for my girls. That being said I feel like if I would have had this resource ten years ago both of my kids’ sports journeys would have looked different and they would have been more fulfilled. This book not only applies to just athletes either. Starting on chapter 8, mental confidence, and on is something I think every young girl needs to read. Erica Suter writes in a way that I feel young girls will relate to as well! I can’t thank her enough for writing this book. What an amazing resource!

Must Have If You Work With Female Athletes!
This book is an absolute "must read" for anybody who works with female athletes! Reading this will undoubtedly put me in a position to be a better support system for my girls! I purchased a copy for each girl on my soccer team and we did a "book club" with it. Not only did they say it taugh them many emotional and physical things about themselves they did not know, it also made them feel empowered! This book is informative and passionate and I think anybody working in female athletics who does not read it, is doing their athletes a dissaervice!

Must read if you coach females!
I have been a Sports Performance Coach for over 10 years and for whatever reason, I tend to coach more female than male athletes. I have been following Erica on social media for some time and we both preach similar training information and concepts. The topics covered in this book not only justified training concepts I felt were ideal for young athletes, it also gave me a different perspective on how to communicate and understand females in general. It legitimately even helped my own personal relationship with my fiance! I have recommended this book to my own athletes and have placed it in my top 5 books when it comes to well-rounded fitness training alongside the works of fitness greats like Mike Boyle, Mark Verstegen, and Tim Grover! Thank you Erica for this gem of a book!
