Solid seat, easy to install
Replaced five toilet seats for toilets that were built in the 90's. It was really hard to find a seat that not only fit the modern style, but that was reasonably priced as well. This seat almost fits, it is off by 1/2 an inch, but for the price, we were willing to overlook that little extra edge hanging on either side of the bowl. The seat is solid, sturdy. It won't bend underneath you. But because it is not molded plastic, the paint finish will eventually wear and maybe stain. If you keep a clean bathroom, this won't be too much of a problem. But truthfully, we'd rather deal with that than with a flimsy seat that flexes too much. This seat is easy to install, super easy. It took me less than one hour to switch out five seats. The best part is that the seat is easily removed for a deep cleaning of the bowl, if ever needed. It literally would take less than a minute to remove, no tools necessary. The snapping into the the anchors was a bit unnerving the first time, because it did require a bit of force, but it was pretty simple.Easily one of the simpler and quicker home repairs. Great seat.

Perfect fit!
This is a really sturdy toilet seat and actually fits my toilet better than the one we had. Install was super simple. This is designed to be taken off to clean which comes in handy with having two boys! Really good value and quality!

Even An Old Lady Can Install This Toilet Seat!
This review is being written with all you Older Women in Mind:Disclaimer: Only one of my two husbands has been thrown under the bus in the writing of this review. My first husband considered himself somewhat of a handyman, and I wouldn't want to hurt his feelings!First, I am female and turn 68 next month, so things are a little harder to do now. That being said, I managed to remove my old toilet seat (which my husband broke about 10 days ago!), and replace it with this one (which I asked said husband to do BEFORE he went on a one week business trip, but he didn't) - all within a half hour (which included having to jump up and down several times, including having to go down the basement to find a hex head screw driver - which again, husband referred to above did NOT return to my tool drawer in the kitchen!)!As an aside, I am seriously considering replacing husband mentioned above as well, but that will be saved for another review... (do they sell husband's on Amazon?)...Now, before buying this, or any new toilet seat, buy yourself a Ginsey All-in-one Toilet Seat Tightening Kit here on Amazon. It's only $2.86 (as of today) on Amazon, and it will make your toilet seat replacement endeavor MUCH easier! I had purchased one for myself years ago, and it is well worth the investment. You have to be able to get down on your hands and knees, so if that is a problem for you because of mobility issues, you must find another family member or friend with the ability to do so comfortably. Okay, maybe "comfortably" is not the right word to use - there was NEVER anything comfortable about hanging over a toilet for ANY reason (ahh, my 30's...)!Forget asking your husband if he is like mine, it is a total waste of time and energy...1 - Assemble everything you need so you don't have to keep jumping up and down (which is especially difficult if you are old like me with bone on bone in BOTH my hips!). You will need - product to clean the toilet and the old seat before starting, an anti-bacterial wipe for your hands, this brand new, clean toilet seat, a hex head screw driver, the Ginsey gadget I mentioned, and, most important... fortitude. You CAN do this yourself!2 - Thoroughly CLEAN your old toilet and toilet seat BEFORE starting this process (be sure to wipe down with a CLEAN WET paper towel, and dry it, if you used bleach as bleach will ruin anything you are wearing while doing this toilet seat replacement. Unless you are wearing white head to toe, then you are probably okay with not wiping down any bleach residue!). This is important, in the event you accidentally drop one of those small plastic screw and bolt things into the (dirty) toilet bowl during this process. (Yes, that actually DID happen to me. One of the many times I had to jump up during this process - to repeatedly and thoroughly wash my hands after fishing the item out of the dirty toilet bowl!).3 - Remove the OLD (but newly cleaned, because you followed #2 above) toilet seat using your New Ginsey Gadget and a hex head screw driver. This will probably take at least 5 minutes, as it will be stuck on with all the dried pee your husband (and/or other men or male children) who have missed the toilet bowl over the years have left behind. Set this retired toilet seat and attachment stuff aside to be properly disposed of later.4 - Thoroughly clean the area where the old toilet seat was attached to the toilet bowl - there WILL be dried pee residue from the males I mentioned above (no matter how well we have tried to train them!).5 - Following the instructions included with this toilet seat (or after watching their little video), and again using your Ginsey Gadget and a hex head screw driver, attach the nuts and bolts included to your newly cleaned toilet bowl. Tighten TWICE to be sure it is firmly attached!6 - Attach the seat itself, and tighten with their rather impressive locking levers! Now, I found it a bit difficult (as an old lady) to tighten the locking levers, so I used a screw driver as leverage, and that helped.7 - Sit down on this new, sparkling clean toilet seat and use it once before your husband (or another male) "sprinkles" on or around it. Wiggle your butt a little to make sure you got it tight enough. Tighten if necessary.Enjoy it before anyone else uses it - you have earned the right to be the first one to " break it in".And remember, this toilet seat is easier to remove now to clean THAT area after the male sex has thoroughly broken it in!My only complaint would be that this would be absolutely PERFECT if it was a soft-close seat. I know someone (who I may have mentioned several times in this review) who will just drop the top down after using it, and, although this appears to be heavy duty, I am not sure that it will hold up long term after repeated abuse.Good luck!

Convenient and Durable
I recently purchased the Mayfair Molded Wood Toilet Seat with Easy-Clean & Change Hinges in the elongated size, and I must say, it has exceeded my expectations. This toilet seat has proven to be a practical and convenient addition to my bathroom. One of the standout features of this toilet seat is the Easy-Clean & Change Hinges. These hinges allow for quick and effortless removal of the seat, making cleaning a breeze. No more struggling with hard-to-reach areas or wrestling with the seat to keep it sanitary. The convenience of being able to easily remove and reattach the seat is truly a game-changer when it comes to maintaining cleanliness in the bathroom. The molded wood construction of the seat provides excellent durability and stability. It feels sturdy when sitting on it, giving me peace of mind that it will last for a long time. The elongated design adds to the comfort factor, providing ample space and support.Installation was a straightforward process, thanks to the clear instructions and included hardware. I was able to install it without any hassle or the need for additional tools. The white color of the seat is a classic choice that blends seamlessly with any bathroom decor. It has a clean and polished appearance that instantly enhances the overall aesthetic of the space. One minor drawback worth mentioning is that the seat can sometimes shift slightly when in use, requiring occasional readjustments. However, this is a minor inconvenience and doesn't detract from the overall positive experience. In conclusion, the Mayfair Molded Wood Toilet Seat with Easy-Clean & Change Hinges is a fantastic investment for anyone looking for a durable, easy-to-clean, and comfortable toilet seat. The convenience of the Easy-Clean & Change Hinges, combined with the sturdy construction and sleek design, make it a top choice in its category. I highly recommend this product to anyone in need of a reliable and user-friendly toilet seat upgrade.

Can do!
Even with severe arthritis, I got this done. It was a replacement, so I used existing anchors. When you push the lock aside, you may need to give it a second push, both taking off the old seat, or putting on the new one. Then again, my hands are not strong. The new one is on, and on firmly.

The seat comes unlatched and slips
The seat’s hardware to attach it doesn’t hold well and the locks it uses just slip open and the seat slides.
