Reminder, folks, the stated maximum weight is based on vertical use, not horizontal. Horizontal use (hanging downwards) is about 1/3 of the maximum weight of vertical use (hanging laterally as I'm using them here). These are weighted for a maximum of 25 # VERTICAL and about 8 # HORIZONTAL.Having said that, I'm not hanging anything heavy, but I wanted to be certain the magnets didn't move and that the hooks extended further than my current ones because I'm using them to organize my zippers.They work quite well and do require a bit of sliding to remove them.My guess, though, is that these may scratch delicate surfaces. Since my surface is a 3rd hand 4 drawer metal filing cabinet (it's seen better days), I have no concerns about any scratches which may occur.

They come separate you screw the hooks into the magnet. BUT the magnet isn't secured into the holder so if you screw it in too far it pushes the magnet out and then it's crooked forever.. The hooks never "tighten" so they turn when you put something on. I wanted to hang my dish towel in my fridge (no handle) NOPE. Worked to hang the scissors.

I bought these for our cruise. I planned to use them to hold a plastic shower curtain from our ceiling and give us a little privacy to block our son's bed from ours, but they weren't strong enough to hold it up. They did work well on the wall to hold jackets, though. I think the pull of the shower curtain from the ceiling was just too much for them.

The description was pretty accurate these little magnets are super useful!

They are sturdy in build, but not in operation. Poor design means they flip over and your oven mitt, or whatever, ends up on the floor. If they don't flip over, the overly curved hook catches the item and then you end up yanking the hook off the fridge. The solution would be a broader base and a less curved hook. I honestly don't see what this present measurements would be best used for. Either it flips and drops or catches and ends up flying across the kitchen. I'm left wondering what the designers actually intended these measurements to help with.
