Good Chain to Lock Up a Bike when Out and About
For my new bike, I first bought a similar 3-foot-advertised heavy chain. That chain turned out to not even be the full 3-feet wide. I then found the 4-foot chain, and am using it to lock my bike when I am out and about. The chain is heavy, but not too heavy to easily wrap it. As you can see in the pic, I keep the chain wrapped on my bike. It does not move while I am riding. It took a few tries to learn what would be the perfect wrapping style so that it would be positioned where it won't slide at all. The first wrap-around I keep loose, which I know sounds counter-intuitive. Then the second wrap-around I make tighter, etc.I like that the chain's cover has a rivet to keep it from sliding down, but I expect the rivet might not hold together for a long time, as has been reported here. The chain feels solid, and I am glad I bought it.

Heavier than expected. It's perfect.
Really heavy. Like seven pounds. Feels very secure. I use this and a hardened steel shrouded padlock to lock up and no one has messed with it yet. Cover seems durable enough. I lock up an ebike with this when I run errands and while I'm at work. I'm sure someone could cut it but it would be loud or obvious and I think that's the most you can really ask for

Best Deal for the Money!
This looks and feels like the $80 chain at the Bike Shop. I will never get another cable (Braided Steel) for my bike again after seeing a thief on camera cut the cable off my bikes like butter. This chain will be a bit harder for them to remove and will take a little longer and or they will need to use large bolt cutters that will be hard to hide when walking or riding around. Can't beat the price.

It's a tough and heavy chain - I use it on my bike
I have a nice bike, and i don't want it stolen. The ONLY disadvantage, this thing is heavy. But you can't have strength and safety without the weight. So it's ok. Keeps my bike safe, and makes it less of a target.

Nice Heavy Chain For Bikes
I paid about $20 for this 4 foot chain sold by Household Bargains and shipped by Amazon.I plan on using it as a heavy duty bike chain in the North East where theft is rampant and bike cables are easily cut. I went with the longer chain to give me options on how to lock my bike. At 4 lbs., It's heavier but the longer length comes in handy. One important fact that is left out is how big of a lock will fit in the chain links.Once I received the chain, I tested my bike u-lock. I was able to slowly slide my lock in. It was a tight fit. The chain scratched and scraped the rubber / plastic coating of the u-lock. As such, I would say the chain should be able to take a maximum of 16mm, (approximately .6 inches), if you have a coated lock. If your lock is pure metal, perhaps 15mm maximum.Make sure the chain can fit through your wheel spokes and / or your bike frame. The welds on the chain seem to be okay. I will edit my review once I've tested it further but so far so good.

SOLID security chain!
For the price point, you cannot beat the build and aesthetics of this security chain. I'm currently using it for my bicycle, and I feel like it's overkill.

4 ft is very handy
Extra length allows you to lock to trees, etc... You can lock up multiple bikes, fat bikes, etc... Welds on the links could be better. The starting link is designed to pass through the end link so that's a nice feature if you are using a shrouded padlock. The nylon sheath is nice, not as thick as a kryptonite but good. I expect the rivets holding it in place to come off but, a couple of zip ties will fix that when it's time. Overall, a nice, thick, hardened chain for a little over $22 delivered !
