I hope to explain this kit a little better than the current reviews. First off I chose this kit because it included a Raspberry pi 4. And was the only one available in Feb. 2022 The kit: The tank kit itself is nice quality and the instructions and very good and in full color I had an e-mail with a shared google drive a couple hours or so after I ordered it. Lidar is of good quality and has LEDs built into it ( I tested every thing with a thermal gun and found nothing hot after running out a whole batt. "But there is room for heat sinks ") The included batt. is 2200 amh. " It shows a much bigger batt. in the video. and states "Accessories shown" Included sd card is blank. They will e-mail you the link to a google drive and you can burn your new sd card. The app that this uses is their own and other Ros-Slam apps will not work. "Note: Customer service at XiaoR GEEK has been great!!!!" I've e-mailed several times and they have been great to work with sending me links, pics, files, etc... {The app..... First, it's only for Andriod no ios. Second, they will send you the apk file but you need to figure out how to sideload it yourself... It's not in the play store. After much trial and error, I got it to install using a side loading program called "Solid Explorer" from the play store.} So in closing, This kit has some good quality parts and there's good customer support but this is NO rtr r/c car. You will have to know a lot about programming, ROS, Slam, Apps, Apk, Linux, and,Electronics. And there is a level of trial and error/Learning. The included book is very very good! And in English!!! I was a little hesitant at first but again the customer support is good " And they have a nice way of telling you to "READ THE BOOK!" lol

If you are looking for a complete immersion into robotics, you can start here. Building the robot from a kit was rewarding and educational. But it gets better. The kit comes with a booklet introducing you to the robot, linux, and ROS, If you are looking for an introduction into the world of programmable robots, this is a really, really good place to start. And when I'm bored I chase the cat around the house with it. Oh! And customer service is prompt, polite and helpful. I will definitely be purchasing more kits from these guys!

We purchased this product for an academic research project and worked with it for more than a month. It's based on ROS Melodic with well-written packages and launch files that can flawlessly handle most of our research tasks. If you are looking for a ROS-based robot for academic purposes, I could say with confidence that this product is the best one within the price range. We also mounted our hi-precision LiDAR (as the photo shows) to the robot; the compatibility is very good.

I actually purchased this product for a student I teach. Possibly due to his and my insufficient knowledge, he is still struggling with the unexpected behavior of this product. The staffs of the manufacturer gave him a lot of sincere and quite suggestive advices. And he is now approaching the goal, slowly but steadily. I appreciate their kindness very much.

メールの質問にも直ぐに回答してくれます。 言葉の壁？質問の意図に沿っていない場合も有りますが、納得するまで回答してくれます。この商品は学習目的の物です。全てに対応するのは難しいですが、初心者をレベルアップするようなサイト、説明書を今後期待します。（タンクを組立、動いたら終わりでありません。逆に研究者や学生は指導者がいるのでサポートは必要ないでしょう）そうすれば日本には類似商品が少ないので売れると思います。現在、組立、説明書のとおり動かして、これから何をしてい良いのか分からない状態です。今後を期待して☆を増やします。

Zuerst, die Anleitung für den Zusammenbau lässt sehr zu wünschen übrig, z.B. ist nicht ersichtlich wie und wo genau das Display mit den GPIOS verbunden werden soll. Dann sind nur Senkkopfschrauben dabei, aber keine einzige Bohrlochsenkung. Warum ist man dann nicht in der Lage, Zylinderkopfschrauben oder Linsenkopfschrauben dem Paket beizulegen? Die Antriebswelle wird auch mit einer dieser Schrauben fixiert, die viel zu lang ist. Warum um Himmelswillen verwendet man da keine Wurmschraube???? Nun zum Wichtigsten: Der Micro USB-Anschluss auf der Motorplatine wurde wohl zu heiss verlötet, der ist mechanisch kaputt, es ist unmöglich dort die USB-Leitung anzustecken. Somit wohl ein Totalverlust, auch wenn darüber wohl nur Statusdaten übertragen werden. Ich hasse es, diese Dinger auszulöten, das ist eine Fummelei. Auch wäre hier wohl im Jahr 2024 anzuraten, einen USB-C zu verwenden. Dann fehlt auch noch die Montageplatte für die Kamera.... Ich wollte am Wochende mich damit austoben, aber das wird so wohl nichts. Sehr entäuschend. Motorplatine wird von Raspberry nicht erkannt. Alles auf chinesisch, für jede Änderung am Raspi-System wird Passwort benötigt.
