Learned something new about my gut and awesome recipes!
Big fan of Dr B. I loved his first book and have listened to all of his podcast interviews. I canโt recommend this book enough for exploring and treating mild gut issues and for good eating! I have been eating whole foods plant based for about three years. I have experienced benefits from this way of eating (weight loss, lower cholesterol) but still experienced some issues with digestion (bloating, gas). Nothing serious but still frustrating. As soon as my cookbook arrived and I read the section about histamines, something clicked for me. I had a ton of those symptoms! I had never heard of histamine intolerance until I read about it in the cookbook. I was dismayed to see that pretty much everything I have been eating on a daily basis is high in histamines: avocado, soy, bananas, chickpeas, and especially fermented foods. However, the cookbook has provided me with easy, delicious recipes so that I can follow a two week elimination diet. So far I have made the Blueberry Buckwheat Pancakes (p. 144), the Low-Histamine Biome Broth (p. 159), and the Sweet Potato Hummus Wraps (p. 167). All have been delicious! And best of all, my symptoms are gone. Like magic. Itโs only been 4 days but since eliminating those triggering foods, no more itching, flushing, hives, gas, bloating, runny nose (after eating), dizziness. I will finish my two weeks (happily!) and then use Dr Bโs GROWTH strategy to work foods back in and find my threshold. I am so grateful for such an easy and helpful framework.

Great book for anyone looking to improve their gut health. I've previously read the Fibre Fuelled book and felt great after following the protocol. This cookbook includes lots of the same information as the original book but with the bonus of lots of delicious recipes.

Not only perfectly executed and amazingly written cookbook, but includes a lot of new and useful information. I already have Fiber Fueled book and this cookbook was exactly what I was waiting for (yes from very beginning when Dr.B. announced it)! It has one small flaw, it is written with US measurements so you need to do some counting if you are in Europe and using grams. But overall this doesnt matter and will give to your book personal touch. Can't wait all receipts from this book!

I loved this book and I'm so glad I got it to accompany "Fiber Fueled" book. It gives you a ton of information in each chapter but then has follow up recipes that target whatever particular digestive problem, For example Histamine intolerance is explained and then a list of foods one could avoid for a short time to at least see if that approach helps. It can be overwhelming to know what to eat and how to cook it. What follows are beautiful recipes to the rescue cued up for your 'Histamine intolerance' in this example. Dr.B's books are the best!

Fantastic read! Chock full of medical information and recipe resources. Dr.B describes the causes of gut dysbiosis and a temporary elimination plan to try to bring into focus your food intolerances and at what threshold your unique gut can handle. A must read for everyone with digestive issues. Thank you Dr Bulsiewicz for your caring words !
