I spent a lot more time than I probably should have to try to find the right leakproof top for my 20oz Yeti tumbler, so I thought I'd write a review to hopefully save others a little time. I first tried the Yeti website directly for a leakproof top but they don't make one for the original Yeti tumbler. The Yeti Stronghold is leakproof but I didn't want a whole new tumbler (I already have two of the originals and I love them). I watched a video review of this top that showed it leaked fluid after shaking and tipping the tumbler this way and that, but I was unable to reproduce the leak when I tried for quite a while. At first, I thought the top didn't fit but it does. It creates such a tight seal that you have to open the slider before you put it on, and then once the lid is on you can slide it closed. Some reviews complained about liquid not flowing when drinking, but I didn't find that to be a problem whatsoever. Perhaps there was a redesign because when the slider is in the open position there is a tiny hole opening which I expect is what keeps the liquid flowing. When the slider is closed the tiny hole is sealed tight with a small piece of silicone. The top is made of sturdy high-quality BPA-free plastic (according to the manufacturer) and I have had no problem cleaning it either by hand or in the top rack of the dishwasher. A small amount of condensation forms under the slider but I'm not sure that's a problem. All in all, I highly recommend this Yeti top. It's great quality, fits perfectly, and is completely leakproof, enough so that I would feel comfortable putting it inside a bag or backpack when full.

These lids are perfectly suited for the task they are designed for. They fit snuggly into the cup, and won't leak or fall out under 'normal' use. The only exception I've seen is when you vigorously shake the cup with hot liquid in it. That's more to do with the fact that the seals are so good the pressure can't escape. Even holding the cup upside-down, the lid is securely held and the drinking hole doesn't leak.Some reviews highlight the lack of being able to clean under the sliding hole cover. It can be removed by closing it, then using a thin stiff implement of some kind (a metal teaspoon for example) to prise the slider away from the main lid section. It isn't hard, just awkward. Looking at the lid from above, close the slider, and insert the spoon between the slider and lid in the gap between them on the left or right, then turn the spoon so it kind of levers the slider from the side as it slips underneath it and pushes it up.Despite the difficulty in getting it cleaned under the slider, I cannot recommend these lids enough. Just make sure they fit the cup you buy them for.

These truly are leak proof. The lids seem to seat nice and snug. They are a bit tricky to clean, but I read another reviewer who shared how to pop the slider out to clean. My butter knives are flat handled, so I use the handle end to press against the underside of the slider through the hole and pop it out. It takes a little doing as it does not pop out easily, which is a good thing. But it does pop out. Once it is cleaned and dried, it pops back in fairly easily.When you drink, the liquid does not come out fast at all. Personally, I prefer it to come out faster since I am typically using it with cold drinks. For hot drinks, however, the slower flow is probably better. Less likely to burn a person by coming out really fast. Also, if it should tip over while open, you won't lose nearly as much liquid as you would if it flowed faster.So, all in all, I like this lid and recommend it. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is the difficulty in cleaning it. On the other hand, I don't really know how it could be done any differently and still have the integrity of solid no spillage it has.I really like this lid and plan on buying the larger ones for my husband's mug.

They fit better than the original that I lost. Happy with my purchase.

The lid fit tight and the slider seamed to seal well. But the slider was my problem, they have two small tabs that lock it into a groove but the tabs are brittle once one breaks the slider won’t stay in place. I thought I had a winner but they only lasted four months, so I’m going to try to find another option.

Who knew that you can get replacement lids online I'm so happy that I was able to get a replacement lid from my Wawa Tumbler. I looked online for the best reviews and these held up to there reviews for sure. These puppies are durable and leak proof for sure. I only gave it a 3star on the easy to drink because sometimes I feel like the drink does some out fast enough as if it being stopped somehow but. I love that nothing gets under the closure, and if does you only have to slide back and forth when washing because not removable. That's what broke on my other one that came with cup. I was constantly removing to clean and it cracked. Definitely will order move if and when.
