After freezing you remove the lid and then remove all popsicles. This gives you 9 unwrapped frozen popsicles. The bags are what you wrap the individual popsicles in before placing in the freezer. There are other kinds of molds which have individual molds for single popsicles. I.e. You can remove one at a time.
