Great little frying pan lid.
This is a great little frying pan lid. I needed a lid for a three inch frying pan for my morning breakfast. It took a while to find one, but AZ had it. It works fine and I am delighted with it. It is well made and durable. It is also easy to clean. It fits my frying pan to a tee. I like the handle/top on it as well.

Seems fine but…
The lid works, but it did not come with a knob to pick it up with.

The real deal
These are restaurant quality stacking steamer baskets that should last forever. The available lids (sold separately by the seller) fit right ,and they don't let the condensed steam drip on your buns. They cost a little more , but are much heavier than the bulk of most standard household steamers available on Amazon. I'm well pleased. I've purchased three. This allows me to make two dozen steamed onion buns at one time . They freeze well and can be thawed by steaming, for three or four minutes, then made golden brown in a toaster oven in a few minutes. They're awsome!

Knob is defective- both times receiving this item
The hole in the knob for the screw is bigger than the screw so that the screw has nothing to grab onto. I returned the original unit thinking it was just a fluke and ordered a replacement. I received the second lid today and it has the same problem!!! Where is the company's quality control?!

Way better than bamboo
This fits on one of my 12 inch pans, the lid for the pan also worked to cover the basket. The metal is high quality and the parts are welded together. I have used two of these for a couple of months and they are just like new. I also throw them in the dishwasher to clean. Much much better than bamboo baskets.

Works great, with a few complaints.
A steel steamer for dim sum, making it more durable than say a bamboo one. Does its job. Cools pretty fast too, you take the pan off the heat for 1 minute and the steamers should be cool enough to handle, even while still in the pan, assuming you're using a pan to boil the water into steam. 3 caveats: 1. Pricing - 12 dollars might be a little too high as an asking price for whats essentially a stackable steel ring with a plate on the bottom. Spending the extra 9 dollars for a lid really hurt. 2. Height - The 5.5 inch diameter is great for putting 4-5 dumplings in at a time. But it struggles to hold anything taller than 1.5 inches, especially if you're buying multiple of these to stack them on top of each other. 3. Bottom Spacing - The spacing between the platform which whatever you're steaming and the bottom of the basket is not that large, meaning that if you don't have a wok or curved pan, the amount of water you can fill the pan up with before your food starts to get boiled instead of steamed is not that much. If you plan to use this multiple times in one go, you will have to constantly add water back into the pan during the steaming process. Although, I guess you could solve this issue by getting a 6-inch curved pan, but that's more money spent for something that's already kind of pricey.

Solid stainless steel, better than the rest
I have purchased and returned a ton of bamboo steamers because they all get the same problems: poor construction, splintering, and flimsy. I decided to pay more and try stainless steel, which there are not a lot of. I spent $80 on a 2-tier stainless steel steamer basket that came from China. It took a long time and was very flimsy and cheap. I should have went with this brand. It’s not the best workmanship like All Clad or something but it’s very thick stainless steel that doesn’t feel flimsy and is very durable. I threw it in the dishwasher and it came out perfectly fine. I did see some tiny rust stains but it wasn’t significant on altered the way this thing cooks. I love the modularity of this steamer basket as I can buy another tier or two when I need it. Spend a little extra and get this one if you have run into the same problems as I have. I got the 8.5” which is plenty large to fit 6 soup dumplings very comfortably. Usually my wife and I take a single tier each but it’s nice to be able to buy it tier by tier and expand our steaming capabilities! Disregard the bad reviews IMO and just try this one.
