Quality Product
I’ve had a couple different lames and this one is by far the best. I love the box. It’s always been a challenge storing my lame in the kitchen drawer without accidentally cutting myself. The box that comes with this lame is not only beautiful and sturdy, but it saves me from accidentally cutting myself. I REALLY appreciate that! This brand will be my new go to.

Comes with many spare blades and the wooden box allows me a safe place to store. It’s perfect for scoring designs and making nice sour dough!

Not walnut
The item may be called "Black Walnut," but it feels like stained pine or some other softwood. Black Walnut is a hardwood, I should not be able easily dent it with my fingernail and I can do so with this lame handle, which is really lame. The whole thing, with a blade and the cover weighs one ounce. Black walnut is 3.33lb (53oz~) per board foot (12"x12"x1"). There is no way you're making 53 of these with one board foot of wood, and my 1oz measurement includes the metal this thing is made with, plus the blade and leather.
