urban vertical garden
This vertical garden planter is definitely not as sturdy as the one I have seen in a local store, but it was also remarkably cheaper. It seems sturdy enough to hold the flowers. The only thing I am a little concerned with is if it will last for more than one year. The planter I looked at in a store nearby had a rubber cover in the front of the pocket. This one is just fabric and I wonder what the water from the soil will do to the pockets. I am assuming that there will be some discoloration from the dirt. For now I have hung my 2 planters outside and I am looking forward to planting flowers and orange mint in them. If it doesn't hold up, it was worth a try and I will look into the more expensive models for next summer.***I have had these planters for 1 1/2 years now and they are still holding up well. I did not store them inside, but left them out throughout the winter and they are still going strong. Really the only thing that I would change is to fasten them on hooks to the wall so that you can take them off and empty the dirt more easily when needed.

Ideal for small/medium gardens
I was looking for another pocket garden planter when I came upon this one. This blends so much better with the natural setting of a garden. My herbs are much happier and I left three pockets empty so I can use them to hold small potted flowers. This way I can quickly change out the flowers as the season changes. No more slugs or snails headed for my garden, and my ugly wall is given some personality. It's hanging right in my patio area. I come home late from work but I can turn on my patio lights and ensure I water my plants. Use the strapping cables. My husband tried to just use hooks but the weight from the soil and plants bent the hooks. The cables are working much better to secure planter.

Wouldnt Buy
After seeing this on tv i was excited to use it. However there are a few flaws. It says you can have them inside the house but if you try to water it the pouches leak all over your floors and wall. Also if you have cats they will be all over it causing your plants further distress. I wouldnt recomend this unless it is outside and away from all animals.

please do not bother. see my follow up below
Very flimsy. Made with basting stitch. Of course any stitch smaller would have cut the felt right through. It is much larger than expected and I believe I will have to fill the bottom half of the pockets with packing peanuts in order to reduce the weight or it will never hold up. ***** THis is my follow up review. I cut off the bottom third, used packing peanuts in the bottoms of the remaining pockets, to no avail. The pockets pooch forward and the water runs out. It is very heavy filled, even with the peanuts. What water did not run off, evaporated thru the cloth very rapidly. I tried and tried with this but could not make it work and my plants died. I do not recommend this

Exactly what I was looking for.
I looked at a number of vertical planters online. The Urban Garden vertical planter was everything I hoped for. The price is way better than similar products. The construction is sturdy and ecologically conscious as it's made from recycled plastic bottles. The capacity of each pocket handles plenty of plant growth and the neutral color works as an unobtrusive background for the plantings. In fact, the color of the planter nearly matches my solid patio fence and after I attached a 2x4 "frame" around the planter it has a nice permanent look. I have already received a number of positive reactions from visitors to my patio. I highly recommend this product.

A great choice for your verticle garden
I had two for about two years, in them I grew herbs, flowers and strawberries. They were perfect for my needs. Unfortunately, a family of squirrels decided to use them as a ladder and within a week had shredded them to bits. I noticed the seller, Urban Garden Products has a lifetime replacement policy. Sent them an email and received two brand new, perfect replacements in less than a week.I'm very happy with my decision to purchase these versus many of their competitor's products.Besides the squirrel fiasco, they've been a perfect fit in my garden.

Budget friendly wall pocket
I live in the city and my backyard is 100% cement. I had been looking online at vertical garden planters and many of them were too expensive. This is an awesome planter that comes with zip ties should you want to hang on your railing as shown in the photo. I hung on nails directly on wall and it looks super.

might last for a couple/few season is all...
cheaply made. I don't expect it to hold up. But that's ok since this is my first time trying vertical garden... will probably buy a better made one if I can keep the plants alive
