Great so far!
I am EXTREMELY new to rock tumbling. This is working great so far! The picture with the bigger container is the plastic and the container with the number 3 is the size of the powder. I definitely think I will be purchasing this again. The plastic pieces are smaller than i had imagined, but they have held up just fine to be re-used. They stained after 1 week of tumbling no matter how much I rinsed them, but it doesn't seem to affect the quality of the powders.

Not so great for polymer clay
I tried to use mine on polymer clay. They didn't come out shinny at all. Maybe I did something wrong? They did work on my rocks, tho they weren't as shinny as I thought they should be. I ended up using renaissance wax and my dremel to buff to a shine.

Final polish wasn't so great.
I like the kit itself and that it came with the pellets. But there was literally no difference between the pre-polish and the polish. The price was better than the stuff we were getting at Harbor Freight, and in larger amounts. But the final polish grit from Harbor Freight was so much better. We let it tumble for a second week with the polish grit, nothing changed. FIVE week tumble, dull rocks. It could be the type of rock or hardness, but it was a variety of rocks. Bummer. IDK if you can tell in the pictures, but the stones in my hand were tumbled with the Harbor Freight grit, and the other rocks were tumbled in the Polly Plastics grit. The rocks done in the Polly Plastic grit are very dull (2nd picture), the colors were so much brighter when wet, but the ones in my hand are much smoother and shinier. ***Edit on 2/11/18 We just finished another tumble. we used the Polly Plastics grit for the first 3 tumbles, the course, fine, and pre-polish. Then we rinsed them all well, mixed the batches together, since they are all agate. At this point, they all looked the same as far as smoothness there was no shine. We split the rocks into two groups again for our two tumbling drums that tumble together on the same tumbler, and in one, put the Polly Plastics polish grit, the other, the polish grit we got from Harbor Freight. I think it's called Thumler's Tumbler. We ran them for a week, and today took them out and washed and dried them all, and there is a definite difference in luster and shine. I've added more pictures. First a picture with both final polishes, a little pile of brown agates. The Polly Plastics is on the left and has no shine. Then a larger picture of the Polly Plastics tumbled rocks, again no shine. Next, the Thumler's Tumblers polished rocks. They are beautiful, the pictures never quite catch the shine. The final picture is both piles in the background with the pellets in front. Notice the pellets are darker on the left. The pellets all came from the Polly Plastics kit. So one of two things is going on...either the grit from Harbor Freight is finer and the final polish grit works better, or Polly Plastics accidentally sent us pre-polish labeled as polish. Whatever the case, due to the outcome we are sticking with the Thumler's Tumbler grit.

Great product. Lots of grit for many sets of rocks. Love the plastic balls, they decreased the noise of the tumbler tremendously, and the rocks come out a lot smoother and with less scratches

Good price, shipping a bit slow but exactly what is needed for polishing rocks in a tumbler.

The filler really helps protect my sea glass from chipping or bruising in the tumbler. It also REALLY helps minimize noise :) If I had my time back, I would have only ordered course grit for tumbling glass because I really like the frosted look.
