VIKROM Entremet Silicone Mold, Round Mousse Cake Mold, 7.5 Inch Diameter

I really debated what brand of me to buy for a Mirror cake. Bought two of these based on customer reviews. I was not disappointed. They worked exceptionally well. It was my first go at making this type of cake and I made two at the same time without problem. They are small but cakes with mousse and Mirror topping are rich so one goes a long way. I was careful to watch seam so I didn't have problems later on but found I could easily smooth what little line there was with my fingertip. I did compare this one to other eclipse molds listed on Amazon and it was the same size, same material, but lots cheaper.

I'm glad I found this mold for my wife. She makes mousse cakes and always searching for some interesting and trendy things. Material is good, thick and lower part is stable (but of course to freeze smth in it you need to use additional plate/pad/etc. to prevent cake damage). You can hardly see the line on the cake where upper part is attached to lower. Freezer dessert is coming out easily. Definitely good purchase!

Bought this to make a mirror glaze mousse cake. It worked perfectly and I had no issues with it. The price was nice too. Because of the nature of the mold it'll make a seam around your mousse cake where the parts joined, just shave it off with a sharp knife while the cake is still frozen.

Smaller than I expected but it worked well and was easy to use.

It's okay, but it really is not what you might expect. Although it claims to hold 1 liter of product I had my doubts. I guess if you are going to use it as a mold for jell-o its okay, but I found it to be smaller than the picture.

Muy util para los postres,

El molde tenía internamente unas rayas en la parte que quedaría superior del postre, al desmoldarlo salieron impresos los rayones. La unión de la base y la tapa no sella bien se derrama la mezcla. Lo usé para un exámen de pastelería y fue terrible.

Muy buen molde, se ve más pequeño que en la foto pero así son los tamaños de los Entremeses. Pero ya este de dos piezas no se consigue así que es perfecto para mis postres

The mould is fine but when I unmould the mousse, it didn’t come out as expected.
