Better quality than expected, great value for the price.
I’m using this for a generator hookup and it is ideally perfect for my use. The plastic was thicker then I expected and built quality was good, not as good as the premium one over twice the cost, but great for my need. I’m using a generator producing just under 40 amps, so my cable is using 8 AWG conductors and the cable is a perfect fit, if you were using 50 amps with SOOW 6 AWG 4 conductor cord would be a little too big and I’d recommend spending the extra for the very high quality plugs with the triple finger grips and compression screws on the wire contacts. This plug will also work fine for the range indoor cords with 2 x 6 AWG and 2 x 8 AWG with a thin jacket, just the indoor/outdoor SOOW 6 AWG cord is way too thick and would require grinding out the hole for the cable to a larger size.

Works
I purchased (2) "Sintron NEMA L6-30P 30 Amp, 250 Volt, 2 Pole, 3 Wire, Male Plug Locking Connectors" about 9 months ago for under $7 each. I installed one of them and the other is in inventory. If you have ever used Hubbell or Leviton connectors, you will notice that the quality of the Sintron is not nearly as good. That said, the Hubbel and Leviton are 3 or 4 times the cost and this Sintron plug is working fine in my application with a 3 hp 3-phase milling machine motor.

First was Mirror Image item!! - Replacement is correct
As you can see the item I received is the exact mirror image of the actual part. No way to plug in the 6-50p Plug as the fat prong is on the wrong side!! They got it right on the image for the website, but actually making the part it is backwards!! (Sorry right image is dark, but that is the computer screen showing the actual part I ordered)!!!UPDATE: I learned something new there is another part that is the mirror image of 6-50R namely 5-50R. Seller reached out to me and said that some of them got mis-labelled/mis-boxed in the warehouse (As the asin # was correct on the first one. I always check that first when wrong item received.). I had already returned the bad one, so I went ahead and ordered a new one. It arrived yesterday and is the correct one. The quality of it is actually much better than the more expensive one that I had ordered to get the welder up and running. It is structurally much stronger and has better contacts. I will be returning the more expensive one.Thank you to the seller for reaching out and letting me know about the issue and that there was an actual mirror image product.

Good Quality, Looks Nice (& a few assembly tips)
Use the brass blade width as a strip gauge (strip that much insulation off).Cut the 2 lower wires (shown here white & black) shorter than the upper one by just a bit more than the blade width. The connector screws were too tight to remove when holding the blades in standard pliers, or with the blades inserted in the housing, but a vice made it pretty easy, so a big crescent wrench, vice-grips, or channel-locks might also work, especially if you have a second pair of hands available. The cable clamp at the bottom has 2 different-depth slots on each side, for a total of 3 different cable thicknesses. On the thinnest (outer) setting it clamped okay on my 14 gauge cord.

Not durable
One of the prongs broke as I was attempting to torque down the wire. Could have been a fluke, but I ended up buying a more expensive/durable plug just in case. Hard to fit wires into terminals as well. Had I had a second one to wire in I would likely not have broken it but I’ve wired in lots of 14-50 plugs before and never had a prong break.

Good plug but non-standard screw hole sizes (for attaching to the cover plate)
Plug is fine, but the screw holes for attaching to a cover plate are slightly bigger than standard.
