Id say its fitted so size up if wearing pads under
Im normally a xl so i got an xl. I wear elbow pads and chest protector from troy lee. This fits perfectly if i had no pads but i do so its a tight fit and pulls up and make it hard to jump around on bike when doing stunts. So go one up if you wear pads under.
