I think this is a must have for mounting your action cam to mic stands. I am using action cams for an instructional video that required overhead shot placement. This device lets me use a simple mic stand to elevate the camera instead of acquiring a jib or mounting on a surface that may be too high for what I need. Mic stands with a boom attachment are perfect mounts for these cameras. I will be purchasing more of these as I acquire more actions cams. The price is reasonable.

If you happen to already have a Mic stand AND a GoPro this little gem is perfect, you would be silly to not get this, due to the GoPros lightweight any mic stand can support a GoPro​ without a problem for whenever you need a stationary shot without having to use a bulk tripod

Item works perfectly. I would give 5 stars if it had included the screw post as well. Otherwise, this item does everything it is advertised to do! Microphone stands are excellent for positioning the GoPro because of flexibility in setup. Highly recommended over a regular camera tripod for stationary shots.

This is crap – it holds the camera at an angle.

I used this to mount a mic clip to a GoPro mount so we could Mic the F hole of an upright bass. It worked perfectly!

I use mine on a mic stand with a flexible shaft. I can easily position the camera where I need it. Works great!
