My picky dog loves it!
My pibbie and lab loves this kibble! it has been a very long journey trying to find the right nutrious kibble that my pibbie likes/enjoys. I was getting frustrated after doing so many trial and error of trying different kibbles until I came across this gem. I found this company by chance last year and found out my pibbie eats his kibble ONLY if I used their freeze dried products as toppers! I kept wishing this company would make kibble because if my dog liked the toppers, he would def like the kibble! It was like the company read my mind or something because when I checked back, I found kibble in stock! As soon as I opened the box, my dog went crazy! He wouldn't stop sniffing it and kept trying to open the box. When I put the first scoop in (without toppers - because I found they included it in the kibble), he ate it up right away. I am so glad I found this company. Another great thing is that it includes grain! My vet said my dog needed grain in his diet so this was perfect. My tummy sensitive lab also loved it and didn't have a reaction or sensitivity to it. Great quality stuff and I was pleasantly surprised with how much broccli and freeze dried goodies were included with the kibble

My senior dogs love it!
I have 3 senior dogs that are very picky. I wasn’t sure if they would like this food or not so I really appreciate that they have a 4 pound bag to try out the different flavors. The bag is also resealable which is a plus. My dogs loved both the salmon and chicken flavor. I think my lab mix likes the chicken flavor the most and my 2 pitt mix’s liked the salmon the most. They all gobble it up without me having to mix in anything extra. Usually with their old kibble I had to mix in some wet food for them to eat all their food. I really appreciate that you can see the dried pieces of veggies and protein in this dog food. My 15 year old senior dog accidentally bit my fingers because she got too excited to try the food (she can’t see very well due to her old age) but she can definitely still smell and taste! My dogs love this dog food!

What You See Is Not What You Get
I was searching for a kibble specifically containing grains (ugh) excluding rosemary and oregano. My dogs have enjoyed a premium brand for years until the unsubstantiated DCM scare erupted. I dispelled the advice given until one of my dogs developed a heart murmur. The other unfortunate reason to change was that I discovered Rosemary was added to the original recipe which is, as I understand, a neurotoxin in epileptic dogs. The cardiologist explained it's not the no grain that initiates or exacerbates the heart condition but the food that may be in grain free that acts as a substitute carb i.e. potato,.lentils and peas. I hunted for a suitable replacement and found this food. I must admit the recipe is enticingly flavorable and healthier because there are no additives. However, there aren't discernable chunks of salmon and broccoli flowerets either as depicted in any of the photos.. There are specs of the raw freeze dried vegetable and the only way you can tell what's what is by the color of the speckn mixed with the kibble. My dog's like it a lot but it causing very loose stool even though I was diligent about properly weaning them from old to new. So if you're looking for those large pieces of broccoli and salmon... Don't believe the pictures. If you're looking for a healthy food as far as dry goes, and something your dogs will love, this food just might fit the bill. Perhaps the four dogs I have have similar digestive components at all of them not very loose stool from the food. It's probably from the grains because their systems are not used to having them. I always thought grains were just fillers and I always believed dogs are carnivorous.

Eat good, feel good!
Murphy is a 20 week old cavapoochon puppy who has been eating Pawtree kibble since he was 8 weeks old. He’s always been a picky eater- so we’ve had to add food toppers and seasonings just to get him interested in his meals. I heard about @abettertreat via a Rachel Fusaro YouTube video and decided to give their salmon treats a shot- the brand, the ingredients of the product and overall quality really impressed me, and Murphy really liked them! When I saw A better Treat released this new kibble, I decided to try it out since its okay for puppies to eat. We just received the food yesterday, but so far- Murphy really likes it! He enjoys the big chunks of salmon, the little broccoli pieces and even has fun playing with the kibble 🤣 I would give it 5 stars, but like I said- we’ve only had it since last night. I’ll do an update review once we get into a routine and see if Murphy is still eating all his food a few weeks from now. Thanks A Better Treat!🥕🥦✨

Looks as good as it claims
My Alaskan Malamute loves this food. You can see the good stuff- dehydrated fruit and veggies. Worth the price.

One of the ingredients is poisonous or a digestive irritant.
Had subscribe and save on this product for 2 months as I figured it was a good deal and product. Followed directions on bag for introduction to new diet. First 3/5 of bag is great. However, suspiciouslymy dog (pure bred American Shepherd 5-6 months old) started having projectile diarrhea and vomiting fits and I couldn’t figure out what it was. Turns out it’s this product. As I get close to the bottom of the bag he would vomit it up hours later and projectile diarrhea. Idk what it is about this product and what settles towards the bottom of the bag, but it was literally killing my dog’s digestive tract and him. He literally refuses to eat this food anymore as I think he realizes it’s what is killing him. I DO NOT RECCOMEND THIS PRODUCT.

Good ingredients
I cook daily for my dogs, but like to leave a kibble for grazing, I needed something without all the added junk. This has worked well for my 6 month ols Shorkies, the 9 month old Great Pyrenees and the 6 year old Yorkie, they all eat it and had no digestive issues. I am happy with the purchase and plan to continue feeding it. It's pricey but since it's not their only feed it works well for us.
