I recommend this light to all the nurses I work with. Let them know it comes in black, too. Just be sure to get the Nichia emitter.By far my favorite penlight, especially for medical work. Low is very low and can check pupillary response without blinding, can get pretty bright when you need it, Nichia emitter has beautiful warm color and great rendering.Actually gave mine to a coworker (an excuse to get it in black sometime, I got an accidental theme going of black and orange)Reaching hard for complaints:1) The switch feels kinda squishy. Probably related to the waterproofing. Likely can't be helped.2) I think it'd look nicer if the clip and switch matched the gold-ish color of the little ring on it.

My Wife's Favorite Penlight To Date!
The IYP365 - Another fantastic light produced by Lumintop.I would like to review this light based on three categories: Value, Performance, and Design.Value: 4.75/5This is a high quality pen light. It comes with your choice of CREE XP-G2 (R5) CW or a High CRI Nichia emitter. I got this light for my wife. She is an RN and has been using poor quality pen lights for some time now. It was important to find a penlight that offered a Nichia emitter, easy UI, and something not excessively bright - especially when dealing with patients in healthcare fields.Performance: 5/5Pen lights are obviously catered to the medical professionals. It is important to find pen lights that offer a high CRI emitter with correct output levels. The IYP365 fit the requirement. I would like to see low at 4-5 lumens (pupil evaluations), mid at 15 lumens (overall patient evaluation/would care), then high at 125 lumens. More than enough light for the tasks at hand.Design:Lots of different flavors.. Aluminum, Brass, Titanium. With color selections in aluminum to boot. The IYP365 offers a very sleek and professional design, often receiving compliments as per my wife. The tail switch is very easy to engage and looks good to boot! I do hope Lumintop offers this light and other future lights in Brass, Copper, and Titanium! The illuminated o-ring is a very nice touch. Very sturdy and lightweight. Rides well in the scrub's pockets. In Conclusion: This company is on fire! They offer a huge assortment of attractive lights at an even more attractive value. They seem to listen to the community which is a huge plus. You can not go wrong with the IYP365!

A great pen light, choose your led color wisely.
This is a short review on the IYP365 Cree and Nichia version. This is my first pen light and it seems solid and we'll made. I recommend it. The overall quality is high. I've carried it about two weeks so far in my shirt pocket next to a not so smooth stainless pen and the black anodization held up without even a blemish and the gold bands add a touch of class. For as small as it is, the beam pattern is just like a full size flashlight. The button is large and requires a firm press to turn it on which helps prevent accidentally turning it on in your pocket. Half presses to change the brightness levels are easy. Output is consistent and it uses two AAA batteries. I've heard that rechargeable NiMH batteries work in it. I might get some to try out.I have both the Cree version and the Nichia version. I included a picture of the beam colors to give an idea what they look like in person. I felt the Nichia was too warm for my tastes with a distinct orange tint that I would estimate to be about 3000K to 3500K. The Cree version was cool white at about 6500K. I prefer this over the Nichia.I measured both lights with new alkaline cells on my Texas_Ace Lumen Tube which is freshly calibrated and is accurate to plus or minus 5%. Both lights delivered Low levels of around 1 or 2 lumen. Great for looking into eyes without being blinded. The Nichia Medium was 27 lumen and High was 141 lumen (above spec). The Cree Medium was 29 lumen and High was 184 (below spec). So it's a bit different than the rated specs, but it's more than fine. Both versions are impressively bright. You could easily walk your dog at night with these. The lower levels are perfect for walking around the house at night. It might make a good night stand light.I'm trying to find something to complain about, but there's not much to improve. The clip is a bit too tight, but you can bend it just a little to make it easier to clip over your pocket edge.Suggested changes include:Make the clip a bit lower to make it easier to grab out of your pocket.Maybe make the Nichia version a bit less warm and more of a neutral white in the 4500K to 5000K range.Maybe make the Cree version a bit less cool and closer to 5700K to 6000K.That's about all I can think off. No real complaints. I have to give it a 5 out of 5 star rating.
