HOLIKA HOLIKA 99% Aloe Soothing Gel 250ml (2 Pack)

I’ve rebought this aloe Vera 5 or 6 times at this point because this has become the new staple in my nighttime skincare routine. It smells really fresh and clean but not too strong either. The gel itself is thick but not sticky which I really love compared to some other ones I’ve tried and it feels really cooling and moisturizing as soon as you apply it. I usually use it overnight and apply a thin layer that usually absorbs into the skin after a few minutes and doesn’t leave a film or any feeling of something being on the skin.I will say, it took me some time to get used to how to get the right amount of gel out because of the container design but you get used to it pretty quickly.

I grew up using aloe Vera on my face but stopped in my late 20s because the aloes on the market got so sticky and bad smelling. I can not tell you how happy I am to have found this aloe. The packaging is cool and stylized, the smell is amazing but not overwhelming and the aloe light and smooth. It doesn’t feel like you put a layer of aloe on- it’s absorbs into the skin so nicely without any stickiness. Highly recommend

Better than face lotions, there’s not really a residue left over, no bad scent, makes my complexion less red and hydrated without being oily.

The aloe lotion is excellent and pleasant scent. The dispenser is unbelievably bad. On mine when you flip the cap and press, it comes out the side under the cap. Only way to use is to put the lotion into another container.

This is the second time I’ve ordered this Aloe. I use aloe as my face moisturizer and I’ve been happy with this one.The first one lasted me, well exactly 4 months actually, looking at my order history. So I think that’s fantastic longevity for the price, especially since I use it at least twice a day, sometimes more if I’m feeling extra dry or I decide to use it on my knuckles or something (been helpful for cracked knuckles too).I’ve noticed between this order and the last they’ve changed the packaging, a lot.This new bottle is a much darker green, the font on the front is different and the label on the back is now all in English instead of Korean (?).This isn’t a con or anything, just making note as it is very different. I suppose it looks even more like an aloe leaf now than before.I do hope the aloe inside hasn’t changed, that’s what’s important.It’s still clear, which was my biggest concern, so I had to check.You want clear aloe btw - aloe is naturally clear so if you get green aloe, it has something extra in it to make it that color. I like this aloe doesn’t have alcohol in it (which of course you don’t want in a moisturizer OR sunburn soother).But as of my experience with this aloe so far, it’s great. I’m happy with it. Does it’s job, it’s thick and it feels nice. Absorbs well. Highly moisturizing. You don’t need a lot to cover a large area.I’ve seen other reviews of complaints it dispenses too much, and I haven’t had this problem.. just squeeze very gently and you’ll only get a little at a time.For the price, how much you get, how long it lasts, and it being pure aloe is all a great deal. Plus the bottle is cute too and I don’t mind leaving it out on my counter :P

It soothes broken or sensitive skin much the same way as aloe gel from the actual plant does.

I use this to razor my face and then to help calm my skin down after razoring it. Very nice and isn’t a weird sticky texture.
