Excellent quality
Extremely pleased with purchase! I had questions that were promptly answered (thanks, Nick). Monitor was shipped quickly and was well-protected inside box. Monitor itself is flawless - screen is perfect, frame and stand are like new. Iโve always like the Dell Ultrasharp line of monitors and this 24โ one came at a great price. Power cable was there (of course) but also included were DP, VGA and DPI cables. They even added a USB 3.0 cable for good measure. All in all an excellent transaction. Please note: I needed to connect to a DP port on my computer so this Dell worked for me. But many buyers might want an HDMI port on the monitor. This model does not have one. So itโs wise to do your homework โ read the โCONNECTIVITYโ section in โAbout This Itemโ before ordering any monitor. Just some friendly advice.

I like my original U2412M so much, I recently bought two more
I've been using a Dell UltraSharp U2412M on my Win XP machine for about ten years now. I've really grown to appreciate the 1920x1200 native resolution, especially when editing photos in Photoshop. This year, I built a new Windows 10 system, and bought another Dell U2412M to pair with my existing one to create a dual-monitor setup. Getting the second monitor to match the first was a little challenging, but the on-screen controls for adjusting red, blue, green, brightness, and contrast allowed me to get both monitors very close -- close enough that the average person wouldn't see a difference. If I had any complaint, it would be that there is obviously no backlight uniformity among these monitors, so getting two to look exactly the same may be impossible. But the controls will allow you to get really close. I have since purchased a third U2412M to use at a desk at the opposite end of the room. It is connected via a 35' HDMI cable (and DVI adapter) to an HDMI splitter which replicates what is showing on monitor #1. These are all-around excellent monitors for everything I do, and a lot of what I do involved graphics for both print and web.

Worked fine.
All worked fine and looks new. Packed well in bubble wrap. No retail box or papers. I wish they let you know what cables came with it because I also bought a $10 display port cable that I did not need since it came with one (and a vga)

A flaw most folks wouldn't be able to fix.
The monitor itself is great and now I have two side-by-side. But, there was a slight problem. These were obviously surplussed by someone because the monitor will stand not stay up and gratuitously slides down. This just didn't work for my side by side idea. But fortunately, I am handy and was able to discover that the tensioning pad inside the arm was worn (i.e. no brakes). Took about 2-1/2 hours to get it all apart (difficult but doable-careful not to break the plastic tabs) and replace the pad with a small piece of spring steel cut from one of those (mid-size) office paperclips with the wire wings to open them. Once this was accomplished, back together again in minutes and will be good forever. And no, you can't just turn the tensioning screw to accomplish this as it's likely set with Loctite.

Great Purchase
No issues to report for a used monitor. I am very satisfied with my purchase.

How to remove the yellow and save some green
Out of the box, the yellow tint (for same control settings) was immediately apparent compared to a 2011 version of same model. I'm not a color snob or even a graphic designer but I could see it. The GOOD news is that by patiently adjusting the PresetModes-CustomColor-RGB levels (reduce Green&Blue =Yellow), as well as increasing Contrast and reducing Brightness levels the two screens now look the same. The settings are very different but the screens have same color, warmth and clarity. The 16:10 format and "Renewed Unit" 50% discount make this a super purchase. Today was first day using it and I'm very happy with it now.

Bought two of these, good units.
They worked just fine. Great monitor for the money and hard to find aspect ratio in the age of 16:9 monitors that are useless for anything but gaming and watching TV. 1920x1200 gives you plenty of vertical resolution. Both were packed well with cables.
