I love American made items, this was made in Vietnam. I believe products can be made of good quality if the manufacturer invests the time to make a quality product. This rig is comfortable and fits well, does not cut into the armpit or neck. The finishing work is actually very good, the details are fine tuned with double stitch and even layout. A very good product for a very good price of 60$. Not everyone can or wants to spend hundreds on gear when quality can be found at a competitive price. I've used the best and seen the worst. This rig is a good bang for your buck.

This pack keeps everything in one place out of the way of by backpack. The pack fits well and sits comfortably. I can see it getting hot when in the summer but I like colder weather camping. Straps fit well under backpack straps and allowed for me to keep my keys, phone, map, and other things that i would normally keep on the body in a secure position.

5.11 is taking a stab at the dedicated chest rig market. This rig is decent for the price. The construction seems sturdy enough for light to medium use. The internal organization pockets are great. However the materials are light weight at best. If your plan is wearing it on a day hike or mountain bike ride it would probably work fine.
