Using it to power a vacuum???
[+] THE REVIEW:The versatility alone makes this pretty cool. You can charge it from the car, AC or solar panel. I found a new use for it. I use the DC cigarette output to power a corded car vacuum which is powered off the cigarette lighter. I plug the vacuum into this power pack and now I have a portable vacuum that lasts for hours (instead of regular rechargeable vacuums that last for 20 minutes). It works wonderfully. This power pack combined with the portable vacuum makes this so versatile. You can take it anywhere with enough power to last. I could see people who have cabins needing this combination where their is limited outlets (i.e., vacuum the boat, shed, around the house, patio). Another reason to use this over plugging directly into the cigarette lighter is that there is no drain on your car battery when the car is off and you are vacuuming. When you start driving your car, then the power pack slowly recharges safely by pulling power from your alternator instead of only from your car battery.BLACK+DECKER BDH1200FVAV 12V Flexi Automotive Vacuum - Corded[7/31/2017 update] I am still using this battery and am really satisfied with it. I have charged it once and still use it to power my portable vacuum. I run the vacuum from time to time and over the last month the charge on the battery only fell one bar. It's a great little power pack.[8/10/2018 update] A couple of months ago the power went out in the house. I thought I blew a fuse, so I needed to go downstairs to get the fuse box. Not a problem, except no flashlight. Then I remembered this had a light function. I never thought much of this light option until I needed it. It saved me from stumbling around in the dark. The best news was the light gave a broad-wide light, so I could easily see where I was going. I can see this being a great light to have to change a tire at night on the side of the road or when needed to check under the hood. Very nice option that goes unnoticed until you need it. As it turned out, the power went out for the whole block, so it wasn't the fuse; but, I made it downstairs and back up again very safely thanks to this light.[+] HUMOR HEALS THE HEART:Okay, you have read this review and found it helpful, but you're on the fence as to whether it was helpful enough to deserve a helpful vote. To click or not to click. Decisions, decisions. Well, I've come up with a little humorous spin about myself as it pertains to my devotion in creating helpful reviews. I've done this using the style of the comedic legend Rodney Dangerfield (1921-2004) and do this also in honor and memory of his great work. The plan is to get you chuckling as you click the helpful button. Let's see - here it goes:"I tell ya, I don't get no respect -- I started writing reviews and getting helpful votes. Wow, this is cool, I said -- I checked my profile and saw that my reviewer ranking was around #8000 -- This is exciting, I said, so I wrote more reviews -- What got me even more excited was when I noticed my reviewer ranking moved up to around #7000 -- After writing more reviews, I thought, I must be getting helpful votes because my reviewer ranking then shot up to #5028 -- The excitement was now overwhelming. It reminded me of how excited my wife got during our honeymoon when I put my clothes back on -- Alright, I said, I got so excited about writing reviews that I rolled up my sleeves, dropped everything and put ALL my time into my reviews --- Then, I checked -- my reviewer ranking said -- #GETALIFE -- No respect I tell ya. No respect at all." RIP Rodney.GIVE Reviews. Doesn't work with my solar panel.
It's OK if you are charging it from a wall plug, or from a running car, but I wanted it for solar charging. The manufacturer says to use a folding solar panel, but does not specify a particular charger to use with it. I have a SOKOO 22W 5V folding solar panel. Like most folding chargers it has only USB outlets, and the "solar generator" only has one input hole that a skinny little power jack plugs into. I got an adapter that fits, and it seems to be charging, but after three days in the sun it still only shows three lit bars on the indicator. This is a pretty good power bank, but it's a fail as a solar generator.

works great for charging at home and using on the road ...
works great for charging at home and using on the road camping without electricity. can charge my lap top, cell phones, and run a car dvd player and a small fan. bad part is it will not work for my car coffee pot. I used it for 3 days and still had a charge of 3 lights.

Lack of Full Compatibility & Functions!
Major issues of 'connection compatibility' & 'recharging via. Solar panels'I went through and read all of the reviews, read the manufacturers description of the product and then placed my order for this item... at that time I also bought a 100 watt portable, foldable solar panel unit but when both this battery/inverter unit and the solar unit arrived I immediately discovered that they would not connect together without my first buying an adapter to connect them up... so I did and that's when I found out that the solar panel unit I had received was D.O.A. and I had to return it and get a replacement. However, the replacement solar panel unit I purchased wasn't the same brand but instead the exact unit they have listed with this battery/inverter unit. After getting the replacement solar panel unit and now that I finally need to recharge the battery, I find that the units are 'NOT COMPATIBLE EITHER'1) First off the included charging cable which came with the AMSU Battery Inverter unit will not and does not fit into the charging station slot on the solar panel unit.2) Secondly none of the cables and or any of the adapters which came with the solar panel unit will work with or sink to the AMSU unit.3) Third and final, the previous adapter I had gotten for the other panel is in no way compatible with either of these units. In closing I'm going to be checking with Amazon about returning all of these items which are not readily and apparently desined to work right out of the box together a.k.a. I got a lemon
It came with a full charge so I tried charging 2 items, one at a time. Worked good, charged both, then a wk later tried charging another item and nothing, everything was on but no charge from battery. Turned it off, waited a minute then turned it on, still no charging, tested the charging several times over the next couple of days, nothing. It's rated 100 watts, the most I plugged up to it was 53 watts, so it wasn't anything I did. I just ended up with a lemon, can't make lemonade from it though.
