The Gardner Bender 2-7/16 in. X 1-1/16 in. Steel staples for 4/3 and 2/3 service entrance cable (10-pack) install cable easily onto wood surfaces. These staples offer sharp offset legs that resist splitting wood and feature a burr-free construction.

Did The Job
I used these to tack a 1/2 cable to the beams in my basement. They did the job. My only comment is that they tended to bend a little when hammering them in. It may be due in part to the size of these staples, but could also be that the metal they're made out of is a little softer than it could be. I tried to use reduced force and strike the staples toward the corner instead of in the middle.

Used for many projects
I had a hard time finding these on Amazon but couldn't find them at Lowe's Home Improvement at all. I have used these to attach trellises to house and mail box as well as other small jobs. I would absolutely recommend these staples

They work. :)
I’m notorious for never looking at the measurements of things. These are HUGE! But, it did the job, so I’ll put it in the win column.

just the ticket for 1" coated-wire fencing
These staples are perfect for 1" coated-wire fencing (Kencove Ponyrail) that I use for a horse arena fence. The staple is hammered part way into a fence post and the fencing material slides freely beneath the staple. The only part I have trouble with is hammering the staples. They are so wide that you cannot hit the whole staple with the hammer head. You have to alternately pound on each side, so as not to collapse the middle. (Perhaps there is some big-head hammer or mallet that would be better.) This is only a minor difficulty however, so they still get four stars.
