Husband loves it. You have to use specific OCR APP reader they list to scan OCR code on box. Then set up with it’s site verification. Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. He can scroll and select a huge amount of effects and other lava peoples riffs, ect. Uses with phone or iPad. It’s impressive. Put on Martin account strings right away and sounds great. Way cool once you figure it out.

This guitar has to be activated online but will NOT complete the connection to my router, even after router reboot and when all other devices on network have no problems. This makes the guitar unusable. I love my ME2 and was excited to get this ME3, but with no way to get real-time support and troubleshooting from Lava Music, I’m going to have to return it, and return the charging dock due to arrive today.This company badly needs to invest some of it’s resources into developing a support system in the U.S. with an understanding of the support level needed and expected here for a product like this. Even an automated support phone line could be acceptable, but there’s only a email address and a feedback form on their website and I have no expectation if a quick response. I’m glad Amazon should let me do a return on this, but very disappointed in Lava right now.

This guitar is the coolest guitar I've ever owned. It sounds great on its own. Smaller yet has a fuller lower end than my other guitars. Once you turn on the "Freeboost" (the built-in speaker), it really comes alive.The effects are awesome. Though you can't design your own as of yet. But you can fully edit any of the effects on there (you have to add the effect to a template to edit).To get full volume, go into the advanced settings and turn up the dB (you have to accept a disclaimer to be able to turn it on). If you turn the guitar off and on again, the setting will be remembered but it seems like you have to turn the setting off and on again to get it to actually work. I'm hoping these little quirks will be ironed out by further software updates.Over all, this guitar is amazing. There are a few weird software bugs. But no dealbreakers. And these can be fixed with software updates.
