i bought two packs of 4 50 mm bars. only two out of 10 are capable of spinning on a stir plate. the remaining eight are so off balance that they slam into the container wall after just one or two spins. at super low rotation speed, you can see them spinning off center by 1/3 of the length for a moment, and then they fly off.complete garbage. i didn't think to check them before preparing my cultures, and now the work and cultures are wasted

The stir bars are very handy for stirring up alcohol and shellac flakes. The different sizes allow me flexibility in choosing the container size and give me a well mixed product. Very pleased

Nice stir bars if you use 2 hotplate stirrers get 2 sets worth every dime

They worked perfect.. alcohol may impair or enhance the use of these, you'll have to experience it for yourself. BUT, they work perfect.
