A story full of positivity and hopefulness.
My ratings: 3.9/5Deepshika and Karan are recently divorced from their 15+ years of respective marriages. Both of them are extremely good-looking as well as successful. When they cross paths, sparks fly and it seems this time, their lovelorn lives will not be as bad. But will their children accept this love too? What I liked about the book:-> The character of Deepshika's father, Gulshan, and his unrelenting support towards his daughter and grandchildren.-> The seamless shifting of PoVs in between the narrations.-> The way Karan reacts on finding out the reason behind his wife leaving him. It shows just how genuinely good Karan is and we can't help but fall in love with him.-> The chemistry between the leads is simply smoldering with sparks flying around. What I did not like about the book:-> The plot is very predictable with hardly any turning points or plot twists. -> The protagonists and their family seem too perfect to be realistic, like, there's no flaw and no problem in their life besides their divorce? Too filmy for me, sorry.-> I found it a little hard to digest that Deepshika got married at 18. Why wasn't the fact that she finished college and managed to build up a career, after getting married and having two children, mentioned anywhere?Quotable quotes:->It's best that we acknowledge the truth. It will help us move on with our lives.->Life is easier when one is young. You can afford to call a spade a spade.

Modern day marriages and flaws.....
This novel is double plot story entwined later into a singular plot as Romance novel. Story about 2 individuals our protagonist Deepshikha after being in married for 17 years with 2 children and not so perfect married life but a promising career as a divorce lawyer, as husband Mahesh is taking things granted and destroyed his family life, but finally karma hit him hard and bite him at a crucial moment, that things change so fast he doesn't get time stabilize and author let the character cut loose, in second plot our hero Karan a rich, innocent , businessman married his childhood darling but suddenly things fall out and their marriage hit a road block but his daughter is the one who kept them intact but destiny have plans and it played as his marriage fall out and he sort out things in mature manner and collided the plot as Karan met Deepshikha as his lawyer ane how things between them started and author give full length and proper closure Dhwani character.Although its a straight forward theory with predictability all time high, author kept the plot intact. Author show us how divorce effects family , how children feeling and emotional understanding is important, Time and bond between relationships brings out the best solution and understanding between married couples is only possible via communication and find someone who cherish to be you every single day of life.Deepshikha father Gulshan played an anchor role as a father, Darsh played the role of serious and understanding son who is mature enough to know things aroundAuthor made things look go so easily and every puzzle block fit in story easily , a fast plot come to end and journey to convince child is written with a linency and intimacy between characters take most of second part which according to me make whole plot a flat plot as author was forced to make it a happy ending.

Almost there!
The author dealt with the breakdown of Karan and Dwani's marital lfe in a mature way, though Karan's passive reaction to the issues faced early in married life seem to be a little too tame. But in the case of Deepshikha, the situation related to adultery of husband within few years of her marriage does appear to be strange. How could she keep quiet?Besides, the bonding of her family with Karan's seems to be too smooth. The author almost always shows either one or both the main characters as rich and/or successful; this is getting streotyped. The onset of attraction and subsequent intimacy between them are also becomng somewhat predictable; the reader can practically guess what is going to happen next, at almost all stages of mutual attraction and intimacy. Maybe the author requires to look for a little variety in both attraction and intimacy, to sidestep the possibility of monotony. After all, isn't variety is the spice of life? The language and flow of the story suit the development of the plot - goes to show why the author is writing bestsellers. Even then, there could always be welcome additions.

Predictable plot but intresting
This is an intresting story of life giving second chances . Two stories have been written about and later on in the book it fits as a perfect jigsaw block when two divorced couple find their way towards happiness .Deepshikha is a divorce lawyer and her own marriage seems to fall apart when her husband Mahesh destroys their 17 years of marriage and it ends up in a messy divorce . Karan on the other side stands at the difficult position of divorce when his childhood sweetheart Dhwani decides to leave him suddenly and also asks for alimony . The story begins when divorce stuck karan meets divorce lawyer deepshikha . to find out !The book is highly predictable but the plot keeps you sticked to the book . The issue that has been brought up apart from second chances are how a family is effect because of divorce , how the children are affect with no fault of their own . The convincing part of children is what i enjoyed the most . The book is fast paced and you wont even know when it came to an end .Would recommend to give this book a try ! Read more
