MTD 917-0906 Replacement Spindle fits 38" 42"

I purchased two "Replacement Deck Spindle Pulley for MTD 756-0486" [part 275-469]along with two "MTD 717-0906 917-0906 Spindle Assembly Replacement Fits 42" and 38" Cut Decks" [part 285-110] from Mowtown and they were all placed in one box for shipping. The unwrapped heavy items [Spindle Assemblies] were allowed to smash into the fragile unwrapped items [the Deck Spindle Pulleys] during shipping since they were all just thrown in the box together. It was a miracle that they were undamaged when I got them. But the parts worked fine and the price was very good so I am satisfied.

Fit like original equipment and worked as it should.

Perfect replacement for our 42' 15hp Yardman. Was easy to replace. Fit perfectly. We were able to get our mower back up and running a lot faster than we thought we would. Fantastic price compared to other places I found the spindle.

I bought one of these in 2011. Fit great, no problems. Used the mower pretty much once a week to mow about an acre, from May to September or so. The spindle had a bearing failure in July 2013 and disassembled itself out in the yard. Ball bearings flying and everything. So I"m not sure whether this is a defect or a bad product, just letting you all know what happened.

It was tough getting the old blade spindle off my riding mower to replace with this, but after a full afternoon of bloody knuckles it was in place and saved the mower from going to the junkyard. Since then I sold it to my neighbor who has been using it regularly for about a year with no issues.

This was exactly the part that I needed and it is what I got. Service was good. Packaging could have been a little better, but it seemed to work. Item was not protected like I thought it should be, but did not sustain any damage in shipping. I would recommend the process to anyone.

I was a little hesitant to order these from the internet but I have really been pleased with the quality and the price saved me at least half the price. Very easy to install, much easier than replacing the bearings which did not last but one season.
