Great after careful install.
I was unsure of buying this as didnโt know if my water pressure would be any good. For the price I thought Iโd give it a go. I like the fact that you can just plug a hose into the ground. I was installing a new lawn which meant I didnโt need to try and not damage any existing turf. Getting the exact levels right was still a lot of effort and I still had to do a fair bit of digging, even with 2 inches of top soil. Iโm not sure you would fit this to an existing lawn easily. You have to dig substantial holes for each sprinkler and the plug in station. Now installed it works perfectly, covering my entire garden in the lowest setting. * advice. Put the distance setting on the lowest when you install. I did the opposite and found out that if you do the spray nozzle flies out and water just pours out and nothing works. It took me a while to find the little blue nozzles and work out what went wrong.

Great outcome, fiddly to get just right and difficult to install / trench
Lawn looks great, no longer occasionally watering the lawn once its damaged. I use a wifi water timer and can choose how often to water the lawn and what time of day. But it is a pain to install with all the trenching (hire a trencher its worth it) and fiddly to get working if you want it to work with lower water pressures / add an extra sprinkler. I've bought spare nozzles (expensive) and used hot glue and a drill to make the holes point more upward. Bit hit and miss but the throw has increased by 50% and the spread is much better. (Yes I tried the screw adjuster first) only comes with 0.75 nozzles. If the nozzles were better I'd give it 5 stars.

Unusable guide
Itโs ridiculous that they make a statement that it needs at least 8 gallon per minutes flow rate, but doesnโt state which type of gallon. Gallon is not a real SI measurement and there are different sizes. How do I know which one? This is insane. This is technical info, should be precise

Wet my plants!
I bought this set after quite significant research. I first bought a mains pressure tester, to ensure that they pressure at my outdoor faucet was sufficient. A ยฃ10 cost, but we'll worth the insurance of knowing you've got enough to actuate the sprinklers. I read 2.1bar which meets the minimum requirements. Having read some over reviews here I also purchased some clamps to stop the push connectors from popping off over time. My lawn is fairly large, and ultimately I needed two kits installed on 2 separate circuits which trigger at different times to ensure each get the full 2.1 bar pressure. Installation of the first kit took me about 5h. This was partly because of a couple of minor mistakes in length cutting which took time to rectify. Undoing the push fittings was very difficult. I also advice getting a pipe cutter for this job to make clean cuts. Again a minor ยฃ10 outlay. The second system took me about 4h, but this was much longer because of the very dry lawn I was cutting into. For the first set I was able to cut the a half moon lawn spade, and then push the tube down with a slat of wood. The second needed me to take up turf and essentially relay topsoil and seed. Both circuts have been in for a week now, both hooked up to a LinkTap controller, and have been working basically quite well. They do need about 30seconds to spring into life. Those furthest on each circuit do seem to dribble, gush and leak a little before fully actuation... which is annoying. Over all, it's a little more than I wanted to pay for the setup (which uses 7 of the 8 sprinklers I have from the 2 kits I purchased) but hopefully an investment into a better lawn. For advice, I get about 4.2m range on each sprinkler, and the head setup is a 10min job for each circuit. I run them for about 10mins each morning, which seems to be doing the job in the very walm weather we're having right now.

Absolute waste of time and money
These do not work, only 2 pop up about 10 mil and dribble water around the Base of them, you need to physically push them all the way back In to activate all 4 but this is supposed to be a fully active system and for that reason it is unfit for.purpose.

Faulty sprinkler issue
Comprehensive kit, but damn hard work to retrofit without the right tool. Also one sprinkler doesn't always raise at all/ properly. Took it apart, couldn't see anything wrong, contacted Rainbird and they told me to resolve it with Amazon? Like, how? I'll probably have to buy a replacement. Instructions regarding sprinkler orientation/ adjustment not great- check a YouTube video out before you bury the system is my advice.

COMPLETELY FAULTY.
UNFORTUNATELY THIS WAS A NIGHTMARE.TUBING NEVER FITTED OVER JOINTS I HAD TO HEAT THE TUBING UP FOR IT TO BE COME SOFT,THEN ABLE TO APPLY.,THE MAIN HOSE POINT IN HAS A BLACK CONNECTOR AND THE TUBING FITTED PERFECTLY. ALL HEADS LEAK SO NO PRESSURE. TO LATE TO ASK FOR A REFUND. TOOK ME HOURS TO DIG THE GROUND. SO SO UPSET.

Good
Very good. Installed and all is well. Only downside is that it does not go as far as advertised. Still get a good coverage though.

Most excellent sprinkler system. Itโs been installed for 8 months and no issues. Works amazing, less worries. I had enough psi for four heads. They spray about 12โ. Perfect diy setup.

Update June 15 Installed a second kit in my back yard with 2 additional R-VAN-SST heads with 1800 series bodies and everything works great. RVANโs shoot about 16โ which is enough for what I need. I needed 30 extra feet of 1/2โ tubing for the additional heads. Bought the additional parts I needed from Regency Irrigation for $40. I've also played around with some different nozzles instead of the R-VAN-SST and it hasn't affected my pressure. Took 2 of us about 7 hours for layout, testing, trenching by hand and installation. Very happy with my setups. Used hose clamps on all connections for long term assurance of no disconnections and needed some teflon tape on the connection between the tubing and quick connect in ground 90 to stop a small leak. Also drilled a hole through the in ground manifold lid to leave the hose connected and the manifold relatively closed up. I installed this system in my front yard May 24. Installation was straightforward, hardest part was trenching by hand. Spaced the sprinklers about 18'-20' apart and I have good overlap and full coverage of my yard. Even had to shorten the throw distance on the 4 heads. Only leak I had was where the 1/2" tube connects to in the inground quick connect adapter. I had bought hose clamps for all the connections anyways to prevent potential future in ground disconnections so once I tightened it up and used a bit of teflon tape it was fine. 90' of hose was just enough, I had 3 feet leftover. Layout, testing, hand trenching and install took 2 of us 6 hours. We used a lawn edger to cut through the sod in a V, a small garden spade, square edge spade shovel and the hook end of a crow bar to trench. Dug down approx. 6 inches. **If you try to open up the range on the sprinkler heads too far with the screw on top, the blue nozzle will shoot out so be aware. Easy to put back in if you can find it but they are small.** I've connected the system to an Insoma Wifi water timer also from Amazon https://a.co/d/eH3WpWt and scheduled it to run 3 mornings per week. My GPM measured right around 6 and my system has adequate pressure for all 4 heads to work great. The nozzles included in the heads are .75 GPM so based on that I require a 3 GPM flow. The system isn't complicated so if you follow the instructions it should work great. I will be installing another kit in my backyard and will try to add 2 more R-VAN-SST heads with 1800 series bodies for some narrow sections of grass. If that is too many I will split into 2 zones and run off a dual zone Insoma timer. Renting a gas trencher would make this job really easy but also double the cost of the project.
