Delicious but pricey. But I guess that means they are a special treat for sure....A small piece makes a nice little treat with an after-dinner coffee....Or crumble a little on top of ice cream....This container can last a long time if used sparingly....

Wasn’t expecting the creamy texture. Had to slice into squares with a knife. With previous halva from other vendors it was a dryer brick and you could break off small chunks. I suspect the older products had less unnecessary ingredients/preservatives. Still not a bad halva if you can adapt to the creamier texture.

Melt in your mouth amazingness! Light, creamy with a melt-in-your mouth consistency, sweet without being sugary and delicate. I was raised on Halvah--mostly slices brought home from a deli or Joyva which was our go-to standard, but this is at a level of refinement I couldn't imagine even existed. The only downside is that I could eat the whole tub in one sitting--it's that good.

I got the vanilla and chocolate chunk. Both tasted identical and both had the consistency of sand. Totally inedible. Do not recommend.

This is a very good and delicious product.

I’m not a halva expert; in fact, my palate isn’t experienced enough to be called even a halva connoisseur. I suppose you could call me a halva enthusiast. I like sesame halva, and I’ve tried several brands and flavors over the years. I ordered Hebel & Co’s vanilla halva, and it’s probably my least favorite of all the halva I’ve tried. The short, simple ingredient list is probably the only high point for me, but that doesn’t redeem the disappointing flavor and off-putting texture. The halva lacks any discernible vanilla flavor. I tire of so many products using “vanilla” as a catch-all term for their basic, original flavors, (FYI, manufacturers, putting vanilla in the ingredients doesn’t automatically make your product vanilla-flavored) and that’s what Hebel & Co has done here. The “vanilla” flavor is simply plain sesame. It has a smooth, nutty flavor, which is not at all unpleasant, but it’s not vanilla-flavored whatsoever. What is actually unpleasant is the texture. This halva is quite tough. The strands of sugar have the texture of coarse fiberglass; they’re very prominent and become sandwiched between the teeth and stuck firmly, impeding chewing and making it a very off-putting experience. As a result, the halva is best served in very thin slices, and it must be allowed to soften on the tongue with minimal chewing. The upside of this process is that it provides much opportunity to savor and appreciate the absolutely vanilla-free flavor. Overall, it’s not an enjoyable product and it’s definitely not worth the money for me.
