This plate does a good, even impressive job. Does not leak, even with hot or oily foods. Cutting meat on it, with either a regular or an electric knife does not damage it significantly. It's worth the additional $, while still at a very reasonable price when bought in larger quantity.

I bought these for a reunion where we were having a catered hot meal. The plates were not strong and folded a bit. They would be fine for. Hotdogs and salads or sandwiches but definitely would not recommend for a hot meal with gravys.
