Good guide for beginners!
Good general fish guide for beginners!Has good clear images of each fish and notes key features making identifying fish really easy! Although it doesnt have range maps like other guide books its still a nice addition to the tackle box.

Great
It is an excellent encyclopedic type book for my young fisherman. He is going to try to catch every fish in the book

Lacking in content.
Fair at best lacking key fish in the waterways of both fresh and salt water ways.

Awesome
Best book about fish ever! I learned a lot about fish and the waters where they live. Anyone who's interested in fish would love this book!

Peterson First Guide to Fishes of North America
Over 200 very nicely colored illustrations. Nice size book for easy carrying around in the field. Unfortuantely, all illustrations are the same size and the accompanying description does not give sufficient information with regard to size, physical characteristic or geograpical location for all specimens illustrated. Isn't an easy book to use for quick and easy identification.

Nice book
Nice little book but I was expecting it to be a little larger with more information. But nice to look at while sitting in the ice fishing shack.
