KOHLER K-R562-SD-VS Malleco Pull-Down Kitchen Faucets with Soap Dispenser, Vibrant Stainless Kitchen Sink Faucets

Bought this as a more modern replacement for an old Moen fixture I had. I have lots of experience with Kohler and really like them. Products are well built and customer service is easy. I really like tech so I opted for the waive motion model to start and stop water from the faucet. I will say it takes awhile to get used to the motion as opposed to turning the handle on and off. But once you do, you really like it. And a lot less touching of the fixture with dirty or greasy hands and fingers! It stays cleaner...a big plus! Installation is straight forward, with directions easy to follow. Replacing kitchen sink fixtures is always a pain because you need to get underneath the sink and move your arms and body in difficult and constrained spaces. But this unit has some thought into the installation. The brass nut with the two screws that you tighten down on the main neck of the fixture once you can know longer tighten the nut by hand makes sure the fixture stays solid in place. The water lines attach easily, assuming you already have 3/8" male faucet shut off connectors already installed. If you don't, this will require lots of pre-plumbing work to install those, and it won't matter which fixture you buy - this will become a much bigger job prepping for the install. The installation of the motion activation hardware underneath is "plug and play" and in spite of being an easy click of the faucet lines into the motion activation controller underneath, there are no leaks!!! What comes with the unit to power the motion activation switch is a battery pack and 6 new AA batteries. But I opted to buy an optional plug in power supply. Many of the motion activation units on the market are battery only but Kohler offers an option for a plug in power supply. If you have a spare electric receptacle underneath to plug into, this saves the hassle and expense of replacing the batteries. Kohler offers a power supply to purchase and there are several other power supplies offered for this model on Amazon, but this is the one I chose and it's working great - just search Amazon for: T POWER 9V Ac Dc Adapter Charger for Kohler Malleco Touchless Faucet R77748 K-R77748-SD K-R77748, K-R31498-NA K-R31498 Included soap dispenser is easy to install - pretty straight forward like most of them. I opted to buy an optional soap dispensing tubing kit that allows you to draw from a large container of dishwashing soap you park under the sink so refills are easy and infrequent. Pretty easy install but I had to attach the flexible hose to the short plastic tube that comes with the dispenser as opposed to directly inserting the flexible tube into the dispenser unit. No biggee and it works great. Styling is simple and classic but with a contemporary flair. I've had it installed for only 3 days but it's working flawlessly. At this point, I highly recommend it! Perfect replacement faucet for us! High marks for the styling, touchless design, completeness of the kit, clarity of instructions, ease of installation, matching soap dispenser, and Kohler reputation. I had no installation or leak issues and the faucet works flawlessly. I have seen some reviews critical of the sensor placement; this is subjective. We are satisfied with the sensor placement and now its operation is intuitive for us.

Very pleased. Well built, easy install, and nice finish. Very high quality construction. It is installed in our existing sink with dedicated holes, but would be ideally suited to a counter mount set up. with our sinks hole position, the nozzle extends a bit far forward, and spray does not land centered in the basin, but a bit closer to the front edge of the sink than ideal. This is not the fault of the faucet, just something to be aware of if installing into a existing sink with holes. The spray setting is quite strong, and creates a sort of fan pattern. Makes it great for cleaning off dishes to be loaded in the dishwasher. The spray pattern selection switch is on the back of the faucet nozzle (not easily seen in pics), and must be controlled manually. Our last faucet "reset" to central stream each time you turned the faucet off. I liked this, but it's a personal preference. Others may prefer the manual switch as this faucet has as it will stay at the setting until switched to the other mode.

Easy to install. Looks and works great. Buy the optional power adapter instead of using battery pack we had issues with sensor reading. Only issue i see is now wanting to upgrade my sink with thicker steel and deeper sink bowls as water likes to splash onto counters using shower head function.

Highly Recommended by my remodeling expert. Modern look! Completes my modern kitchen look. Easy install. Instructions not so great but I've installed faucets before. If you have not, I'd recommend a professional plumber or someone that has. This model does not have the motion sensor option which I was expecting. But, once I got it installed, I was very pleased with the smooth and quiet operation. Also, the sprayer is option. Soap dispenser allows replacement of dishwashing above (top) of the counter. Nice! Also includes 3 separate color handle grips - white,brown & grey. I went with the white! Nice!!!! Thank you for the great deal Amazon -- you even beat Costco by a '50' spot! We used this exact faucet at our previous home for about four years and loved it, so in our new home we ordered another to replace an old pull-out faucet. Installation was fast, I removed the head and flushed any debris out of the lines, and reinstalled the head. The flat spray works great, we really love this feature. However, the aerator is not a solid stream as it should be, it sputters around the edges. If you try to fill up a glass you must get it very close or you will get water sputtering on your hand and outside of the glass. I have read about this issue on other recent Kohler faucets, but was hoping it would not affect this older model. Kohler seems to be using different, perhaps cheaper, parts. It is a shame, but we otherwise love this faucet so I will order a kit to replace the aerator and see if that helps.

I ordered two of these for a home renovation. One box was missing the soap pump. Amazon would only give me $60 rather than replace it. And Kohler wouldn't do anything. The touchless feature has never worked. Three months in one of the faucets started to leak - all over my kitchen floor. Thankfully Kohler did replace free of charge. But now the second one has also leaked. Clearly this is a very defective unit.

Easy installation, works as it should, absolutely no issues. Looks really sharp too! Filled the soap dispenser with dish soap, which is really convenient when doing dishes. Would definately recommend.

Great functioning faucet and soap dispenser, looks great as well. Very easy installation video found on the Kohler website. No regrets with my purchase, one month in.
