Flash Furniture Taylor Vibrant Black Tractor Seat and Chrome Stool

The drafting chair is high - would be too high for a standard size desk.The "tractor seat with back" is great for a normal size office desk.The backless tractor seat is the kind dentists use, but I read in reviews here some people use it an office desk.Amazon does not do price adjustments. I bought this for 60 total a few minutes later saw it was 50, but amazon wouldn't change the price. so make sure you're happy with the price before you get it.I've always had standard black office chairs and was hell bent on getting something fun that popped this time around.I chose the cherry red to energize me and make me want to work.It is slightly less comfortable than the padded chair I have but not uncomfortable. Honestly, do you want a chair you can sink into? I dont. You want to be alert and awake when you work. Also they say sitting is the new smoking, so you want to make sure you get up every once in a while and walk :-)It is VERY cute, weighs around 10 pounds, about half of my last office chair, and I aseembled it in less than 5 minutes. It's very simple which is VERY appealing to me. And it makes my small apartment look CUTE. it's not bulky and will get the job done. There is empty space around the back support area, whereas a normal desk chair has padded bulk, so this chair takes up less visual space while still having back support. if u want eve less visual space i see other reviewers by the backless chair and use it for their desks.So so far I really like it. I had a hell of a time trying to figure out seat heights. I measured and saw I had set my last office chair to about 19.5" seat height (i am about 5'8) and the tractor seat with back definitely fits the bill.I wish I could buy more seats and backs so when I feel like changing the color, I can :-)I was surprised that it is comfortable at all. My butt is not delicate shall we say. I am a woman's size Large with wide hips and if you look at the seat you'll see it has like butt indentations :-) It's comfortable. I just make sure to get up every hour.After buying this I searched reviews and saw people were buying the backless ones for desks too - that would be cool. I wish This was adjustable enough so it could get to be the height of a drafting chair so i could brig it to my sink to do dishes but i called flash furniture and they said they don't have a chair that goes that high, you'd have to buy 2 separate chairs if you want one that goes very high (barstool/drafting chair height=draft chair) and one you could use at your desk (tractor with or without back - non drafting chair)I am very happy i bought this even though the price went down a significant chunk right after i bought it. i am so tired of standard looking chairs. life is short, make it fun - now when i look at my office space i feel like i want to get to work! my apartment reminds me of the 50s or 60s now with popping color and a fun look - all gotten for an affordable price.

I purchased this Flash Furniture chair for my art studio to replace the one I had for 7 years. I had this same chair in off-white. The polymer seat on mine had started to crack, which meant over time it would break. But, for the economical cost, I ordered a new one. I do like how this chair is easy to clean compared to fabric covered office chairs. And, the saddle-style seat is comfortable with added back support. Loving the sparkle blue color, too.

Yes, it is very slippery. You have to be careful when you sit on it cause it can slide from underneath you. However, it's a very nice looking stool, very sturdy (I'm a big lady). Since I don't want to run around from differant areas in my kitchen on a marathon, it works quite well for me. I gather all my supplies in one spot, and then I can sit comfortably while i do prepping and chopping. I found a clever way to make this stool work for me. I put some styrofoam under the two back wheels, no more slipping!!! My God-Daughter wrapped a towel around the seat and we fastened underneath with a bungee cord!! You might say it's tacky, but it adds character to my kitchen, and I can sit safely on it without slipping. I used a colorful pretty towel. It was more important to find a sturdy stool for me than how it looks. However, I smaller person could probably roll around from spot to spot in their area especially if they were tall enough ((I'm 5'2). I no longer wear my back out standing too long in one spot. If it wasn't so slippery, I would have given it 5 stars!!! The seat is very large and comfy!!! I hope I'm not discouraging anyone from buying it. I'm a senior, and I like the clever add-ins to make it work for me!!!

Cute and reasonable. I had these in my office for years decided to bring them home. Had to get 2 more. Super great with adjustable height can go from counter to table. Great for when company comes.

When I purchased the Flash Furniture Task Chair I was initially on the fence regarding the fit and quality of the components, particularly those associated with the seat back. While the chair has performed well for the past four months, this afternoon the plastic component on the underside of the seat, which attaches the uprights to the seatback, snapped as I leaned against the backrest.Pros:-Surprisingly good casters. Rolls very smoothly and easily on solid flooring.-Smooth, consistent height adjustments.-I enjoyed the "tractor" style seat and found that it was comfortable for working extended periods of time. It encourages upright posture and is probably why I didn't encounter issues with the seat back earlier.-It is really difficult to find a chair that goes up to this height, but can also be lowered to work on lower work surfaces. Price notwithstanding, it is one of the few chairs I could find that had as much range in seat height.Cons:-Durability. Only four months of use and the seat back has snapped. It was clear from assembling the seat back (the backrest slides over the uprights with no hardware to secure it) that this was the weakest part of the product.Verdict:This is an affordable chair that offers an uncommon variety of seat heights and seems to function very well, with the exception of a shoddy seat back. As mentioned above, the tractor chair seat encourages upright posture, so the seat back is not often stressed during normal use. I will likely try to repair the seatback myself, or remove it entirely, and continue using this chair, as it is otherwise a great bargain.
