Pacenti Pari-Moto by Panaracer 650B x 38mm Folding Bead Tire Black/Tan

I use these for Randonneuring. I ride a steel bike, fenders, etc... and my goal is comfort over a long distance. I thought these were indistinguishable from similar tires that sell for almost twice the price. This is my go-to tire for my 650B rando bike. Really happy I found these.

I haven't used this particular tire yet, it's my new spare. One quibble: the description is for the model with tan sidewalls, however I received the model with black sidewalls. This isn't a problem, so I won't be asking for an exchange. (I wonder if inventories are low and this was the closest match.)

Decent tire, rolls fast. Would have better if the gumwall version was 120tpi or so for a more supple casing. The 60tpi or so tire is a bit harsh. But seems nearly indestructible so far.

I really, really like these tires. For the price it's hard to distinguish them from other Panasonic tires such as the ones designed at Compass for example. I really hope they keep this one around. It's a really supple, comfy ride!

Tire really hits sweet spot balancing comfort and rolling resistance. Covers the roughest of surfaces short of technical single track while being sufficiently light to move well on paved roads. Love them

I tried a set of these tires because they are half the price of the very similar and highly-regarded Compass tires. Having ridden these as well as the equivalent Compass model, both are excellent-riding tires. They roll fast and feel good.However, the Pari-Motos have about half the rubber thickness of the Compass tires, and so wear out very quickly. I had no issues with these tires for the first 500 miles or so, but then the rear started getting flats. A lot of flats. 6 flats in one ride. After that ride I checked the tire and found that the tread worn extremely thin.Given that these cost half what the Compass ones do, I think they're still a good value. As they are inexpensive, very light-weight and have a folding bead, they make an excellent choice to carry as a spare on brevets. But I'd rather not have to change my tires every 500 miles, so Pari-Motos don't work as a primary tire for me.
