The Drill Works Great, But Seller Resold it Wishout Checking It.
When I received this drill, the chuck was stuck open. This usually happens when someone opens the chuck, using the drill's motor on high speed and accidentally jambs it open. In this case, the "someone" decided the drill was broken and sent it back for replacement. I almost sent it back as well (not being a power drill expert). First, though, I checked on Youtube and found a video about unsticking stuck chucks. I followed their instructions and fixed the problem. The drill works great!

Not compact, not light-weight.
Performs well so far, but still heavy and cumbersome for prolonged use.

Light weight but still a heavy dutyhammer drill
Perfect for me to use powerful enough, but not too heavy a regular drill and a hammer drill depending on how you switch it also could be used as a screwdriver. It’s a good addition to a Greenworks. Tool system.

Greenworks is awesome
We sell Greenworks brand at work. We also have a Greenworks drill at work. Same model as this. Its many years old and works perfect. battery has a long life too. So when I needed one, I wanted the same thing. Glad I bought this. I've used it for many things already. Including running a wire wheel brush on tables and chairs before painting. So many tools for the 24V system. I plan to buy many as I need them and maybe even when I don't need them.

Solid
Solid and powerful multifunction drill. All metal chuck assy, no plastic. That was a surprise. Just wish we batteries were a bit cheaper.

Punches above its weight.
Works well. Home owner with cb construction. Needed this to hang things in garage. Works just great. Have other Greenworks products, batteries are interchangeable . Absolutely pleased.

Tried 2, and both had clutch slipping issues.
I own quite a few Greenworks 24v hand tools and I had high expectations for this combination hammer drill that can all work as a drill and driver. I was hoping this drill would work just like my Greenworks regular drill/driver, but add the hammer drill capability, allowing me to "do it all" with one tool. When the first hammer drill arrived, I tried using it just as a regular drill to cut some holes in a door to install a lock-set. I used a brand new (sharp) bi-metal 2 1/8" hole cutting bit, and set the drill to the "drill" setting, then the speed to "1" (fastest speed), and the clutch to "20" (highest). I got the pilot hole to drill fine, but as soon as the hole cutting teeth started to dig into the door, the clutch started to slip and the bit just stalled. The clutch just slipped and jerked and the bit would turn some, catch and stop, turn some more... repeat. Frustrating. The led light on the front also made some morse code flashes, like an error code. I stopped and changed the setting to "driver" and tried again. Same issue, the clutch would slip as soon as there was moderate resistance to the bit. Also the same weird flashing of the led light. I went back to the owner's manual, but there isn't much info in the clutch section that describes how the drill should behave. In the end I switched to another drill (good thing I had one) to finish the job. The next day I called Greenworks technical support. Within 2 minutes of calling, I was on the phone with a very pleasant person who walked me through various testing procedures. After a couple of short holds, they came back and offered to send me a replacement. Unfortunately, it could take 7-10 business days for the replacement to arrive. In the meantime, the drill was still within the Amazon return/exchange window, so I opted to just exchange the drill. Today the replacement arrives. I unbox and take it through some tests, and sure enough, it behaves exactly like the first drill. Same clutch slipping and led light flashing. Coincidentally, the drill has the exact same manufacture date as the first one. It seems very unlikely that two drills would both be defective. But at this point, I'm not sure. All I can surmise is that the drill is just designed to operate this way, or there's a bad production run? Ok, but in the end, if you want to drill holes or screw things into hard materials, the drill just isn't going to let you do that. Big FAIL. The second drill is also going back to Amazon.

Arrived with non uk charger. No mention of this in the description so will have to return as the charger is for 120v not 240v uk it is not a dual device so will over heat. Should not be sold in UK others have mentioned the charger not working this is probably because it will over heat. Not a safe thing to do. Organising a return.
