A slight bitter flavor but quality and less powdery than other brands
The slight bitter flavor from the sprouted rice was unexpected but it's normal for sprouted grains. The protein is quality and has less of an issue with powderyness than other brands. Overall good value.

Great value, lots of protein
Part of my regimen - helped me lose 40 lb in 4 month (along with fiber and a mutli-vitamin). I added a scoop of pea protein for complete amino acid. The combo tasted bland (if you add plain psyllium, it thickens up and tastes like the rice cereal they feed to toddlers - this has pleasant memories for me, but will not be everyone's cup of tea). It doesn't taste bad - just boring. The NOW Egg protein was superior in composition, more expensive than the rice powder, but I had to suppress my gag reflex to get a whole glass down; egg protein NOT very digestible (this leads to episodes of gas that would cause a pilot to make an emergency landing if you squeezed one out on a plane). The worst part of it, though, egg protein was not easily soluble in water. Always left with chunks caked to the side. The ISO whey is superior to the concentrated whey for digestibility and a little more expensive - if you're on a budget, go for the Nutricost Whey. And take a gasX.If you are vegan, you cannot beat the rice powder + pea powder

Best value rice protein
This is a staple for my household, but we have found that you have to try very hard to mask the flavor and consistency of it. It has a pretty bad flavor, and if you put too much into something like a shake or oatmeal, it will form a kind of paste that actually burns your throat.... That being said, I like to mix it with some flavored protein powder in a shaker, or blend it up with some strawberries and milk to make a smoothie. Those are great ways to mask the flavor. If you're looking to actually cook with it, I would use pretty small amounts to avoid any issues. For the price, it is definitely worth the effort of trying to cover up the flavor!

unpleasant flavor, good price.
I actually normally get now sport's pea protein as my "cheap" proteins... pea has a reputation for tasting vegetal and I've been making protein cookies a lot so I thought this would be a good product to cut in for a better flavor. I've had nutribiotic rice and it taste great- this rice has a really bitter taste to it. I don't know if I got a bad batch- in comparison my pea protein is delightful. So ironically I'm using the pea to dilute the flavor of this... The macro profile is great, I also wish they had nutrition info on the back. With the bitter chemically taste the lack of info makes me feel weird about this.I would say if calories aren't a huge concern for you it's not *too* hard to dress this protein up, and it is a value. Rice is pretty easy on the stomach. But if you're like me, and you want a protein you don't have to ad much to, this is maybe not the one. I am accustomed to drinking plain unsweetened protein powder in water sometimes so I don't think I've especially picky.

cost efficient, lacking added flavor
I purchased 5 pounds of rice and 5 pounds of pea and mixed them together. compared to the other options i see on amazon.ca and amazon.com and the shops around town this was the best option.when added to a smoothie its great. but mostly i just mix a serving in a glass with water and a fork and just drink it fast. doesnt taste great that way, its organic, cost effective, and plant based, not from an animal thats had bioacumulation of pesticides or whatever.the other naked brand on amazon costs to much. this one doesnt come with a nice plastic container that reseals easily but i am sure most people have some of those around. just dont make a mes mixing and putting in a better container.
