Great speakers, great price
Was adding 4 ceiling speakers for Dolby atmos and my system was already using Klipsch speakers. You have a choice of these or the bigger 8”. I have a smaller room with low ceilings so chose these. Price was good. Easy install. Speakers are directional and can be angled. Magnetic covers are nice. Sound is very good. Using a Marantz 7055 to power them. 140 watts per channel. These are just for Dolby Atmos. If I was using them for stereo sound full time, or for music I would maybe go with the bigger 8”. I feel ceiling speakers are for very specific use. They can’t be compared to a large floor standing tower speaker.

Easy mount, quality sound
I installed a Marantz 11.2 surround system in a new home theatre. The customer went over budget on the AVR and wanted to go softer on ceiling mount speakers. The room is smaller at 12' x13'. I was looking for the best reproduction quality for the budget. The Klipsch CDT-5650-C II was really value-priced on Prime day. So I bought 4 for the upper-tier sound. So far, so good. Nice Performance. Plays well with other speakers.

Better than I gave it credit for
New review:I have to be honest, I initially hated these speakers and the "Klipsch sound" but have really come around to them and feel I was being too harsh. In my actual setup with four in my basement providing a stereo image and generally listening at a medium volume I really enjoy listening to them and they are fantastic for background music with my spotify connect + arylic streaming + fosi audio amp setup. I have tried other brands like Monitor Audio which I do like, but I'm noticing some subtle distortion with my recent Monitor Audios at higher volumes which is making me appreciate these Klipsch ones more. I still think the Klipsch sound is way too treble heavy so toggling it down on the provided treble switch is a must, but it does make for good quiet background audio that is crisp even for poorly treated spaces, so there's some merit to it.Old review:I ordered four of these for a basement finishing project. I tested a few of them right away and felt a bit disappointed in the sound quality which was very harsh on the treble and just lacking balance and fullness. I don't know how to describe it other than being very tinny and unsatisfying. After hanging them up they didn't get any better. I set all the speakers to -3 treble which did help a bit, I think cheap Klipsch speakers are set to have way too high treble which people identify as "the Klipsch sound". I also bought five of their in-wall speakers (R-5650-W's and one R-5502-W II for the center) and they all have this same sound profile. In contrast, I bought two Monitor Audio CS160's for another room and they were a similar price but much nicer sound and build quality.I think I'm going to replace these with another brand, possibly Monitor Audio, over time as I'm really not happy with the sound, but they work fine for now.

Great in ceiling speaker at a great price.
Tried to get Martin Logans IC's to match the other 5 speakers which are all Martin Logans, but they are hard to find online or in stores.. Went with the Klipsch for the Front Heights and not mad at all. Great buy. They are a pretty solid match at a good price for any mid range setup.

Terrific speakers: I have a 7.1 system of these speakers
These are great speakers. Crisp, rich, detailed sound. Aimable tweeter. I have a 7.1 system consisting of 7 of these and a 10" Klipsch wireless sub. This system replaced my traditional B&W home theater system. If you are wondering how an all-ceiling home theater system sounds with these speakers, well, in a word: terrific. I am not missing my old system, and the in-ceiling setup is sleek and unobtrusive. These are high-end top-notch speakers that reflect Klipsch's deep experience with in-ceiling speakers. As soon as you open the box, you know you are dealing with a quality product. Easy to install, virtually invisible when installed. Crisp, detailed, nuanced sound. Expensive, yes. But worth it. HIghly recommended.

Sound is great!
We had Klipsch ceiling speakers in the house we just sold. Great sound. I like that there is no rim around the speaker. The front is held up via magnet. Very clean. The rims usually discolor.
