It turned from joke to a legitimate gift.For those wondering about size - I have a large head, and it would have had to sit back along my crown rather than toward the front the way it should be worn, but it wouldn't have looked strange. It's a really versatile size. The young woman who received it is petite and it fit her as well.

This is just beautiful! It has a little weight to it so I'm not sure how it would do if you needed to wear it for a long time, but it's beautiful and solid!
