Perils of futuristic dating.
I recently had the privilege of appearing on Simon's podcast. While I was on there he spoke passionately about his books, which left me intrigued. So, out of curiosity, I decided I would give Time To Click a read. Now, I have to be completely honest here and say I found it to be an uncomfortable read, but at the same time it was also fun, containing some laugh out loud moments. The story is set a few years in the future and follows Ethan as tries to navigate the treacherous waters of dating (a perilous thing even in our own time!). Along the way he meets some interesting and often dangerous women and it is from one of these which he receives a life-altering traumatic injury. Now, it is this part that I found so uncomfortable it nearly stopped me reading. Simon's description of the scene is so imaginative and vivid, it made feel me quite squeamish to the point I had to put the book down and take a breath. Once I got my wits together (and uncrossed my legs) I delved straight back.I am glad I did, because I was intrigued to see how this disability would affect Ethan's life. Not only that I was interested to see how or if he would get his revenge. How Ethan overcomes his new disability is rather quite funny and I couldn't help hearing Oscar Goldman's quote from The Six Million Dollar Man pop in my head - 'Gentleman, we have the technology, we can rebuild him'I also must say the way Ethan manages to get his revenge, comes in such a way it is something I didn't expect. This book is an easy to read, well-written, futuristic thriller that leaves the reader asking for more. Definitely worth checking out.

Excellent read
Another excellent book by Simon but you will need to have reviews the first two in the series to know the story of Ethan. Can't wait for the follow up. !

Good Read
I was priveleged to proof read this book for Simon. Simon came to my book club and read a passage from the book so i was very excited to read it...I loved the way it told the story of Ethan who you either like or dislike or maybe just feel sorry for the guy. It was great to find out about the characters we had read about in the other 2 books.Cant wait for the next read.

Is this the future?
This is a prequel to the author's "Finding Love in 2045" and "Awoken in 2046" and gives us Ethan's backstory. And hero Ethan is in a spot of trouble. I won't give any spoilers, suffice it to say that there are gruesome trials in store along the way.I was reminded of the TV series "Humans" and my favourite film of all time, "Blade Runner" with some of the aspects of this story. Is this the future? Ethically, is it a route anyone would go down? I think you'll have to read on to find out.
