If you need to check pins on an OBD 2 Data Link Connector (DLC), this is an absolute must. You do not want to be down on your knees with a flashlight figuring which pin is which. No, bad on knees and bad on psyche! Its long length allows you to be in the engine compartment, if need be. To use your DMM or anything else, you'll need very thin test leads, as the holes are tiny. I went top-drawer and got the Pomona's here on Amazon(Pomona 6262-02 Extended Fine Pt Tip Adap Set (Set Red/Black), but there are less-expensive alternatives.

moved my obd2 plug to my center console. much easier to access now.

I just received this cable and testing it out and the female side became stuck. It was too tight going further in. My other obdii extension and devices just a snug fit but something must be wrong with the one I received.It was so stuck that trying to pry was no good. The grip around the connector is very soft and pulled off the connector housing. Even force prying the full inserted housing it was wouldn't come out. I'm pretty sure it was the single cable I received but had to fully break it apart to remove it.The cable seemed pretty nice and I like the flat style. I might try buying again since this one is done for
