fitted on my yacht with reinforcing plate on the inside to make using a jemmy difficult. The item seems well made - but the jury its out on standard of the SS - awe will see!

It's Pretty, shiny, heavy, and strong, but it is a very sloppy mechanism. I wanted to use it on a wooden chest, but it was too sloppy and that is a "me" problem. I'm sure it works just fine as stated as a "DOOR HASP"

The price is right. It's sturdy enough. Note: It does not come with screws. If it did, they'd likely only work for some people. Applications will vary on thickness and type of material it's being attached to. A trip to the hardware store is in your future.
